17.01.2022 This is our annual gift giving to the 200 ladies living temporarily in the accommodation of the YWCA.

17.01.2022 One bag has the power to make a difference to one woman! That’s the beauty of #itsinthebag, it’s that your kindness directly impacts another. This week we rec...eived a message that saddened me as the Founder of this beautiful charity. A lady shared that she always made up one bag, but was not going to do it anymore because she saw all the posts about people making up many. I just want to say that donating one bag is wonderful and so appreciated. I do just one bag each year, sure I meticulously love on everything that goes in, like you all do, but it is one bag I heard just this week with a charity how a 16 year old girl received a #teenbag; her only gift on Christmas Day in crisis accomodation after fleeing a home she was not safe in. In this teen bag was a necklace and a bottle of perfume that in her words were the first time she had ever owned jewellery or had her own perfume. The power of that one bag cannot be measured. How do you measure the smile you put on that young girls face that day? How do you measure that feeling of hope that this young girl feels when she twirls her necklace in her fingers and feels like people care and there is hope in this world. How do you measure that? I don’t think you can. We at Share the Dignity and the charities we work with appreciate your kindness; please don’t ever forget that. In summary if you donate one bag or 100 we appreciate it Much love and respect Rochelle xoxo www.sharethedignity.org.au
