24.01.2022 It’s great to see kids out learning how to play golf at Lara Golf Course under the great guidance of Tybin Lawson. He has been running these lessons through the Geelong Junior Golf Academy. He does an amazing job.

24.01.2022 The latest update from the green keepers today, 16th October, is that golf carts and ride-ons are now permitted for club members and the public. The fairways are looking great! I hope you can get out and enjoy the course. Cheers

21.01.2022 Hi all, just a heads up! There have been many bookings this weekend. Please call to book a tee time so you don’t miss out. Hope to see you out there. The Clubhouse will be open from 8 am tomorrow to take bookings. Have a great weekend! Cheers

21.01.2022 Hi all, the latest update from Tuesday 13/10/2020, is that carts and ride-ons are allowed for club members only for competition tomorrow, Wednesday 14/10/2020. The front of some greens and patches on the fairways and rough are still quite wet. Please drive wide of the greens and try to avoid the wet patches! Enjoy your game tomorrow and I will update about the carts again in the next couple of days.

14.01.2022 Good morning, we have an update from the green keepers on the use of carts after another 13 mls of rain overnight. There are no carts or ride ons allowed until further notice. I will update this page when this ban is lifted. Cheers

07.01.2022 Throughout the year, Lara Golf Club have several social groups that book to play golf, use our free bbq facilities and enjoy reasonably priced drinks from our bar. Some of these groups are local and many travel long distances to play here. They have a fantastic day out! I would just like to thank them for their ongoing support and patronage. It’s great to see their passion for golf and the great friendships they make. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year.

07.01.2022 Great news, all golf carts and ride ons are allowed for club members and pulic green fee players. The fairways are fantastic thanks to our green keepers, they do a great job! Try and get out there, it’s an amazing space that we should treasure and enjoy in Lara. Everyone is more than welcome. There are no skill levels you have to be at, we all hit shanks, but we all hit good shots in between that keep us coming back! Hope to see you soon! It’s our backyard and we are so lucky! 07.01.2022 Update from our green keepers - Due to receiving nearly 20 mls of rain all carts and ride ons are banned until further notice. It will be reviewed again on Monday. Cheers

05.01.2022 Further to today’s update on carts being permitted, the red lines that guide you where to drive them were not done this week. Could you please be sure to keep the carts 10 metres from the greens and walk over to your ball. There are some cart signs out there to follow as well. Have a great weekend!

04.01.2022 A big thank you to our amazing volunteers that turn up every time for our voluntary working bees. We had 5 amazing members turn up this time and they did an amazing job cleaning up the course with all of the debris and broken branches from the harsh winds we endured. It would be fantastic if we could get more numbers out volunteering next time!

01.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder for all Lara Golf Club members, we have a working bee on Tuesday 5th January at 8.30 am. Lunch is provided. If you can only help out for an hour or so, that will still be greatly appreciated. Our volunteers on working bees do a fantastic job. It’s also a great way to meet other members and to contribute to your club in some small way! Hope to see you there. Cheers

01.01.2022 Good morning, after 30 mls of rain, the greenkeepers have decided to ban all carts and ride-ons. This will be reviewed again on Monday 26th October. Hopefully the wind today will dry it up pretty quickly.
