06.01.2022 Pregnancy: Where does one start? If you are pregnant for the first time, it is a roller coaster of emotions. I remember when the nurse confirmed I was pregnant with my first baby, I was shocked, I was happy, I was thinking OMG!!. By the time the reality started to dawn on me that I was growing a human in my belly, the morning sickness had well and truly set in I would cry because I felt so sick and then there were moments of pure joy knowing that I would be welcoming our ne...w little human into the world very soon. I realised that pickles, cheese and crackers teamed up with mouthfuls of boysenberry ice cream was actually really yummy. There was nine months full of anxiety, tears of sadness & joy, happiness, vomit, and more vomit . My morning sickness lasted all the way through to labour. Then he arrived, the most beautiful moment between my husband and I, we had made a little human (who is now 6’4’) all the morning sickness, the roller coaster of emotions were all worth it. Pregnancy is a unique experience to each and every women. For me it was empowering, learning to love my body in it’s new and many forms it had taken over the past nine months.
