24.01.2022 Our first Creative Camp for 2019 was at Running Waters about 200ks South West of Alice. A very remote location that had just experienced some rain, luckily for us... It was glorious! The Finke Rv. ran red and the claypan was full full of reflected beauty. Wonderful work was produced by a very talented bunch, here is just a sample. Check out our Blog for the full picture: http://larapintacreativecamps.com.au//running-waters-may-2

23.01.2022 Last year I exhibited artworks created 'au plein air' in Palm Valley over the years we have held our Creative Camps there. This year we are going back ... I cant wait! This place has such powerful geology, with plants that are remnants of Gondwana, still thriving in this desert refuge. So fascinating and inspiring! I invite you to join me there for further creative adventures. Palm Valley Creative Camp June 16th - 23rd 2019. www.larapintacreativecamps.com.au To see the work from my exhibition: 'Palm Valley & Environs'; held in June last year at Olive Pink Botanic Garden in Alice Springs please visit my website: www.deborahclarke.com.au

13.01.2022 One of our best loved Creative Camp locations, Running Waters, has a secret! Out behind the Finke Rv, nestled between red sandunes and the hills is a clay pan with many faces. We have danced there with our shadows in the moonlight, we have lain down on her great empty belly, and walked along her dappled shore marvelling at the hills reflected after rain. We paint her colour on paper, linen and canvas, an idelble memory in our minds... Join us in June! Running Waters Creative Camp June 9 -16th 2020 www.larapintacreativecamps.com.au

11.01.2022 Yesterday I visited an amazing site near Ross River with our friend Brian Rogers. Those coming on our Ross River Creative Camp in September will have a chance to see this too. Time captured in rock as colour ... so remarkable!

09.01.2022 Hi all Creative Campers and interested friends: 2 participants from our Standley Chasm Creative Camp, Judy Panucci and Warwick Francis, are having a joint a joint exhibition at Shoalhaven Regional Gallery, Nowra titled: Nature of Memory;Memory of Nature. It opens this coming Saturday 10th November at 12 noon. It finishes Sat Dec 1. If you are down that way please drop in as their work is beautiful, well worth seeing. Samples of both their works are included here.... As you will see their works speak more of their connection to their coastal environment than their Central Australian experience but both artists say they were greatly influenced by the Creative Camp and used the techniques I shared with them in their work for the exhibition. Both plan to come on another camp in 2019. You may like to have a look at our Blog from the Standley Chasm Creative Camp: http://larapintacreativecamps.com.au//standley-chasm-june- or go to our Homepage: http://larapintacreativecamps.com.au and then click Blog at top right

08.01.2022 The camps are over for 2018, its just too hot now for camping. You will pleased to know we are working on our Creative Camp schedule for 2019. In the mean time I have time to do some work in my studio. Following are photos documenting the making of a large concertina flag book. Constructed from rock rubbings done at one of the smaller gaps near town, a very beautiful place with the most complex rock formations, so hard to draw. This is my current solution to conveying that complexity.

05.01.2022 Conrad Ratara has dreamt of creating work for his family at the Old Ranger in Palm Valley for more than 30 years. I believe we will be his first clients! Creative engagement with Palm Valley will be greatly enhanced by his cultural input and the upgraded facilities at his exclusive campsite. Don't miss out on this very special opportunity! 02.01.2022 About a year ago I met my lovely friend Jane Flowers out at Ross River, where she was staying with some artists friends from WA. For me it was great fun to be in creative company but not on one of our Creative Camps, just for a change...such freedom. This liberty, along with some additional 'inspiration' in a glass, at a very unusual time of day, produced some work i'm still very fond of. Thanks Jane and co. for a fun time!
