24.01.2022 Who am I kidding? I attempted to jump back into Insta with the intention to pick up right where I left off. I havent posted for 6 months. The last 12 months have been the hardest times of my life. And I'm still not out of the dark yet. I know many people continue with their Insta using old pics and making up quirky captions to gloss over their life truths, but I have zero interest in pretending. My life has changed so much recently. Both from a mix of choices I made, and chal...lenges and scares that were out of my control. For now, I'm taking time to figure out who I really am. At the core. None of this superficial stuff. For me, that requires time alone, time with loved ones, time with those who truly care, time with my dogs, and preferably, doing so by spending time out in healing nature. So forgive me for my lack of posts and my sporadic insta engagement. I'm not sure when I'll come back in full swing, but when I do, I'll be stronger and more me than ever. And if you're struggling through testing times, I hope you take time to connect with the real you too. See more

16.01.2022 A day is always made better with a meal out with friends. Except, I'm that friend who cant eat a bunch of things... The other night I was in Christchurch googling somewhere to eat. At the worst of times, my food intolerances mean I resort to a supermarket throw together or some odd mix up of two meals when I'm travelling somewhere new. That night it was a supermarket run before we got too 'hangry'. Hangry, frustrated, and overtired do not make a good mix! Those experiences ...certainly make me appreciate my go-to places at home like @cafeviebuderim. (They're dog friendly too! ) Some days, food intolerances suck. 13.01.2022 A gentle reminder to listen to your body. Ive been feeling super lethargic lately and its been a while since Ive eaten red meat. While living plant based is awesome and I am all about eating more vege and colouring your plate, I know my body needs to eat meat to feel well. For others who dont, thats great too. But please listen to your body and never let another persons diet rules or guidelines sway you from choosing what is best for your body. If you have health resolutions this year, instead of focusing on losing weight, gaining muscle, or getting a bikini body, maybe focus a little more on what your body is trying to tell you it needs. Be kind to your body and give it less deprivation, and more genuine attention. The things youll learn will amaze you.

10.01.2022 Im loving a one pot wonder these cooler nights. Left over veggies, greens, and some sort of protein like chickpeas, lentils, tofu or chicken. I lightly grill them in the pan first before adding some stock and seasoning for plenty of flavour. Im currently obsessed with @soltoromex spices. Last night I added the Baja Taco Seasoning to mixed mushrooms and cabbage as a side dish - it was amazing! Never underestimate the power of herbs and spices to transform a meal! Plus theyre natures little vitamin boosters!

Life is fun, wild, awe-inspiring and magical. But its also heartbreaking, tormenting, challenging and knocks you to your core. Be brave. Appreciate the darkness, trust in the uncertainty, and take the chance to make a change. The darkness is what helps guide you to your light.
