25.01.2022 Dubbo Prime Sale market report Thursday 23rd July It was a pretty good quality yarding with a good selection of well finished trade weight cattle along with fair numbers of grown steers and heifers. There was a better selection of feeder cattle and there were good number of cows. Most of the usual buyers were in attendance with the exception of a couple of cow buyers. Young cattle to the trade were firm to 5c dearer with prime steer vealers selling from 409c to 416c while the... prime heifer vealers sold from 399c to 428c/kg. The prime steer yealings sold from 370c to 420c while the prime heifer yealrings sold from 360c to 408c/kg. Feeder steers were up to 15c dearer while feeder heifers were 3c to 5c/kg dearer. The feeder steers sold from 366c to 425c while the feeder heifers sold from 356c to 396c/kg. Young cattle to the restockers were dearer with the steers selling from 350c to 665c while the young restocker heifers sold from 356c to 500c/kg. Prime grown steers were firm while the grown heifers were 8c/kg cheaper. The grown steers sold from 310c to 398c while the grown heifers sold from 295c to 388c/kg. Cows were 5c to 9c cheaper with the light and medium weights selling from 250c to 314c to the restockers and 282c/kg to the processors. The prime heavy weight cows sold from 276c to 309c/kg. Bulls sold to 334c/kg

20.01.2022 DUBBO PRIME SHEEP & LAMB SALE RESULTS 31ST AUGUST. It was a top quality yarding with good numbers of outstanding heavy weight lambs along with good numbers of very well finished Merinos. There was also a good supply of both trade and heavy weight new season lambs mixed throughout. Most of the regular buyers were in attendance and operating. Trade lambs were firm to $3 cheaper with the trade weight old lambs selling from $133 to $165/head. The better yarding of new season lamb...s were $5 dearer with ther trade weight selling from $130 to $158 to average betweeen 665c to 720c/kg cwt. Heavy weight lambs were $10 dearer with the 24kg to 30kg lambs wselling from $148 to $182 while the lambs over 30kg sold from $181 to $219/head. Heavy weight new season lambs sold from $155 to $174/head. Lighter Merino lambs were firm ro $4 dearer while the heavier weights were $3 to $5/head cheaper. The trade weight Merino lambs sold from $122 to $153 while heavy weight Merinos sold from $148 to $180/head. First cross ewe lambs sold to the restocjkers fro $224 to $264/head. Hoggets sold to $166/head. It was a mostly good quality yarding of mutton where the lighter sheep were a little dearer and the heavier weights were $5 cheaper. Merino ewes sold from $85 to $176 while crossbred ewes sold from $134 to $182/head. Merino wethers sold from $118 to $173/head. The better sheep ranged from 560c to 620c/kg cwt. The restockers paid from $133 to $145/head for aged White Dorper ewes.

The market exceeded expectations with a total clearance of 350 cattle achieved. Angus Steers in fresh condition 9-10 months account K. 16.01.2022 DUBBO PRIME CATTLE SALE REPORT THURSDAY 20TH AUGUST It was a mixed yarding with good numbers of prime cattle in all sections along with a couple of large consignement of plainer conditioned Bos Indicus cross weaners suitable for the restockers. There was a better selection of ideal feeder cattle than previous sales. Most of the regular buyers were operating along with extra restocker orders and an additional feeder order. Young cattle to the trade were with prime vealers sell...ing to 434c/kg. Prime steer yearlings sold from 370c to 426c while the prime heifer yearlings sold from 354c to 421c/kg. Feeder steers and heifers were 7c to 15c dearer with the feeder steers selling from 364c to 425c/kg. The feeder heifers sold from 370c to 415c/kg. Young restocker cattle were again dearer with the young steers selling from 418v to 530c while the restocker heifers sold from 367c to 506c/kg. Good numbers of bull weaners sold to the restockers ranging from 290c to 542c/kg. Grown steers and the lighter grown heifers were up to 15c cheaper while the heavier grown heifers were dearer with quality a factor. Prime grown steers sold from 337c to 380c while the grown heifers sold from 310c to 393c/kg. Cows were 5c to 6c cheaper with the light and medium weights selling from 268c to 290c/kg. 13.01.2022 Dubbo Cattle market report Thursday 10th September It was another top quality yarding with good numbers of properly finished cattle in sections. There were not the numbers of grown steers and heifers compared to the previouse sale however there were repalced by good numbers of vealers and yearlings mostly in prime conditions. There were some excellent pens of cows yarded. A full field of buyers completed in a fairly steady market. Young cattle to the trade were firm to 5c dea...rer with prime vealers selling to 426c/kg. Prime steer yerarlings sold from 380c to 418c while the prime heifer yearlings sold from 350c to 415c/kg. Lightweight feeders were 8c cheaper while the heavier weight feeder steers and heifers were 5c to 9c/kg dearer. Feeder steers sold from 356c to 423c while the feeder heifers sold from 340c to 402c/kg. Young cattle to the restockers were mostly dearer with the young steers selling from 384c to 495c while young heifers sold from 395c to 452c/kg. Grown steers and heifers were 6c to 8c cheaper with the steers selling from 310c to 366c while the prime grown heifers sold from 300c to 359c/kg. Cows were firm to 3c dearer with the 2 and 3 scores selling from 260c to 293c/kg. The prime heavy weight cows sold from 288c to 311c to average 300c/kg. Heavy bulls sold 325c/kg.

12.01.2022 Report from Dubbo Prime sheep & Lamb market Monday 17th August Once again heavy lambs made up the bulk of the yarding along with good numbers of well finished Merino lambs. There were also a few pens of well finished new season lambs penned. Not all the regular buyers were operating in a mostly cheaper market. Trade lambs were up to $12 cheaper with the old lambs selling from $120 to $148/head to average between 595c to 630c/kg cwt. Trade weight new season lambs were $13 chea...per selling from $136 to $148/head to average between 650c to 700c/kg cwt.Heavy weight lambs were $4 to $9 cheaper with the 24kg to 30kg lambs selling $143 to $172 while the over 30kg lambs sold from $170 to $200 and that price was paid for lambs estimated to weigh in excess of 40kg cwt. Merino lambs were $12 cheaper with trade weights selling from $115 to $136 while heavier weight Merinos sold to $153/head. Two pens of young White Dorper ewe lambs sold to the restockers for $141 and $142/head. Hoggets sold to $155./head It was a mostly good quality yarding of mutton where most grades were $3 to $7 cheaper. Merino ewes sold from $80 to $154 while crossbred ewes sold from $133 to $165/head. Merino wethers sold from $111 to $153/head. The restockers were active on woolly Merino ewes paying from $123 to $140 while White Dorper ewes sold to the restockers for $138/head.

Included in the yarding was a large consignment of Brahman cows in good condition along with theiri grown vealers at foot which had been agisting in the Nyngan district. Most of the regular buyers were operating along with additional restocker support from the south. Young cattle to the trade were ...firm to 6c dearer with prime vealers selling from 400c to 426c/kg. The prime steer yearlings sold from 380c to 423c while the prime heifer yearlings sold to 414c/kg. The feeder steers were 6c to 9c cheaper while the feeder heifers were firm to 4c dearer. Feeder steers sold from 364c to 410c while the feeder heifers sold from 345c to 398c/kg. Young cattle to the restockers were dearer with the steers sellling from 326c to 508c while the young restocker heifers sold to 489c/kg. The extra support from the southern restockers added very solid competition for suitable steer and heifer yearlings paying from 350c to 465c for the steers and 340c to 424c/kg for the heifer yearlings. Grown steers and heifers were 10c dearer with the prime grown steers selling from 313c to 402c while the grown heifers sold from 320c to 390c/kg. Cows were firm to 2c dearer with the light and medium weights selling from 240c to 292c/kg. Th prime heavy weights sold from 290c to 323c to average 300c/kg. Bulls sold 330c/kg.

Included in the yarding was a consignement of bobby calves which is something we havent seen for some time. The usual field of buyers were operating along with additional restocker support. Young cattle to the trade were 2c dearer with vealers selling to 421c/kg. Prime steer yearlings sold f...rom 394c to 446c while the prime heifer yearlings sold to 434c/kg. Bobby calves to slaughter sold to 700c/kg. Feeder steers amd heifers were 10c dearer with the steers selling from 389c to 424c while the feeder heifers sold from 376c to 400c/kg. Young cattle to the restockers remain stong with the steers selling to 550c and the heifers 450c/kg. There were good numbers of yearlings in forward condition sold to the restockers to go on crop and pasture with the steers selling to 461c and the heifers 430c/kg. Grown steers and heifers finished firm to 3c cheaper with the prime steers selling from 320c to 400c while the prime grown heifers sold from 323c to 390c/kg. Cows were 2c to 5c dearer with the 2 and 3 scores selling from 265c to 292c/kg. The prime heavy weight cows sold from 281c to 315c to average 299c/kg. Bulls sold 337c/kg.

07.01.2022 Dubbo Prime sheep & lamb market report Monday 14th September As the good season remains the good quality yardings keep coming in with another top quality yarding of lambs. There were good numbers of properly finished crossbred and Merino lambs along with better numbers of new season lambs. The usual buyers were in attendance along with the return of a couple of southern export processors. Trade weight new season lambs finished $2 to $5 dearer selling from $141 to $175 to aver...age between 680c and 735c/kg cwt. Trade weight old lambs were $6 to $10 dearer selling from $133 to $170/head. Heavy weight lambs finished $4 to $6 dearer with the 24kg to 30kg lambs selling from $152 to $216 while the lambs over 30kg sold to $233/head. Heavy weight new season lambs sold from $168 to $183/head. Merino lambs were $8 to $10 dearer with the trade weights selling from $122 to $166 while the heavy weight Merinos over 24kg sold from $150 to $190/head. The restockers paid $225 to $240 for first cross ewe lambs and from $150 to $220/head for Merino ewe lambs to be grown out to be breeders. Hoggets sold to $180/head. There were some outstanding lines of heavy weight sheep yarded in a good quality penning of mutton. The light and medium weight sheep were around firm while the heavy weights were up to $14/head dearer and quality a factor. Merino ewes sold from $90 to $190 while crossbred ewes sold from $115 to $185/head. White dorper ewes aold to $170 and Merino wethers sold to $182/head. The restockers were very active paying from $111 to $190 for Merino ewes to breed on with.
