18.01.2022 World Rotaract Week spotlight number 3! Name: Rotaract Club of Western Sydney University. District: 9675... Number of members: 5 Current club president: Sophie Cornett About us and what we do: Our annual ball is a fun social night for a great cause. On Friday the 3rd of May 2019, we held our Night at the Oscars Charity Ball. We supported three amazing charities within our local and national community. They were the Shining Stars Foundation Street Outreach Service (a mobile service to help street sleepers), BaptistCare Campbelltown (an emergency shelter service that provides aid to families affected by natural disasters and/or humanitarian crises) and Shelterbox (a not-for-profit Christian based care organisation for the elderly and disadvantaged people). What makes us unique: We are the only Rotaract Club in our area. We welcome members from both our university and from our local community members.

18.01.2022 This year 5 of our members attended the annual International Women’s Day breakfast at Mornington Racecourse. We heard from inspiring speakers such as Olympic Go...ld Medalist, Lauren Burns! It was a wonderful morning to celebrate the success of women and to motivate more change for an equal future. Happy International Women’s Day! See more

16.01.2022 World Rotaract Week club spotlight number 1! Name of your club: Peninsula Rotaract Club District: 9820 (Victoria) Number of current members: 16 ... Current President: Sarah Learmonth About us and what we do: Taking some inspiration from our friends at Adelaide City Rotaract Club, we’ve been fundraising for our own ‘Backpacks for Kids’ project. We’ll be filling backpacks with school and personal supplies which will help disadvantaged primary school students in our local community. We’re aiming to make at least 100 backpacks. What makes us special: Once a month, our club has two traditions: ‘snackerbrations’ and a monthly challenge. At the end of our meeting, members share something to celebrate for the month - whether that be a birthday, a promotion, or just patting a really good doggo! We then share snacks and cake. We also run a challenge for a bit of fun in our last meeting of every month. Members are put to the test, with anything from a word search to a quiz or a game! The winner chooses a charity or organisation of their choice for the club to donate $100 to!

15.01.2022 With the restrictions imposed by COVID-19, unfortunately any face to face meetings of the Rotaract Club of Latrobe Valley are on hold until further notice. However, that doesn’t prevent us from getting together on line. If you are interested in supporting your community through the Rotaract Club of Latrobe Valley, then we would like to know your thoughts on the sort of community projects you think Rotaract could be involved in to help our community, whether that be locally, ...or even internationally. For information on the sorts of projects other Rotaract clubs are involved in visit https://rotaract.org.au/, or for information on what Rotary Clubs are doing visit http://rotaryaustralia.org.au/content/476/projects-programs. We would also like to know what sort of social activities you would like to be involved in through the club. Initially that may need to be on-line stuff. We would love to hear your comments - post them here.

11.01.2022 RYLA 2019 just finished and I've got so much to think about to properly get into my head. This was my second RYLA and to have a program that can be as life chan...ging and incredibly eye-opening is utterly... Fascinating. I've got so many goals for 2020, so I'd better get started on them. A huge thanks to all the Rylarians and to my fellow Leadership Team for a fantastic week.

09.01.2022 It's that time of the week again #MemberMondays - Meet Emily Barr our Events Director for 2019/2020 My Rotaract journey began when I came along to support a ...friend who had just returned from Rotary Youth Exchange and I ended up being a charter member of the club! They haven’t been able to get rid of me since! (Almost 10 years). My favourite part of Rotaract is the wonderful people you get the opportunity to meet. I know my Rotaract friends will be friends for life, no matter the distance! Fun fact about me, I have a 5 cent coin collect worth $122.35 (That’s 2447 coins!) See more
