But this innovative globetrotter, who has lived and worked in some of the world’s most exotic locations between his native UK and Echuca the place he now calls home is seeing this is an opportunity. In the first wave of the pandemic Dave got on with giving his Hare St hotel a much-needed facelift, including a new colour scheme. Then the restrictions lifted and he got back to work barely. Now with the second wave he is well on the way to a major transformation of his hugely successful drive-through coffee business Latte Lane. He has imported cutting edge European technology; walls are coming down; infrastructure is being installed and watch this space as Dave opens his full-blown café alongside the drive-through. Dave recently gave me a fascinating behind-the-scenes sneak preview of what we can expect and it’s going to be something special. Congratulations Dave and team and while we are waiting for the grand unveiling you can get your Cal COVID coffees at Latte Lane from 6am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 1.3pm Saturdays.
