25.01.2022 Late post On Friday 21st September Debbie the cook along with the children made Cindy the Team Leader in the Little Owls room a wonderful cake for her birthday. After the children had their fruit at afternoon tea they called Cindy into the room and surprised her with the cake covered with strawberries. The children then sand happy birthday to Cindy and then they all sat down together and ate cake.

24.01.2022 Finally our rainbow trail project has been completed and hung on our fence. This has been a lot of hard work from the children over the last 2 weeks. We are all in this together.

22.01.2022 The educators and children would like to wish everyone a happy valentines day for yesterday. During the day the children helped to make heart shaped waffles to share the love with all their friends. The children enjoyed eating these at afternoon tea before making a colourful picture to take home for their parents and caregivers.

19.01.2022 The children and educators here at Laugh N Learn are celebrating Halloween. The children have helped to decorate the room with all their spooky artwork and cobwebs filled with spiders. We also had a wonderful community member donate a carved out pumpkin for the children to display in the room. Our wonderful cook Debbie made a spooky Halloween cake for the children to share during afternoon tea. The staff here at Laugh N Learn would like to wish everyone a very Spooky Happy Halloween. Please have a safe and wonderful night trick a treating with all your family.

19.01.2022 Today with the help of the children we used an old Tyre we painted orange and an old trampoline to make a new play area for the children in the 2-5 yard. Each week we will create a new environment for the children to play with. Today they made a African wild life scene. They used some rocks and some fake plants along with the animals you would find in the African wilderness. The children loved the experience of role play with the animals in the sand.

17.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we would like to advised our parents and caregivers that when we arrived at the centre this morning we had found that our class frog had gone to froggy heaven. Xxxx RIP Frog xxxxx

16.01.2022 Attention parents and caregivers here is a letter updating advice given to us from the Education Standards Board late today.

14.01.2022 On Thursday the 6th September the Henley beach police station made a visit to the children at the Centre and talked all about road safety and if they were to get lost or lose there caregiver, who they should look for to help them find there carer. The children had so much fun during the visit talking to the police, dressing up in the police uniform and getting to sit in the police car while the siren and lights were on. At the end of the visit the children presented the police officers with a thank you card they had all decorated as a group with different pictures related to police and road safety.

14.01.2022 Over the last couple of weeks we have been talking with the children about reducing reusing and recycling. We have also been discussing with the children about Clean Up Australia Day. So as part of our sustainability program we have built two Trash Robots out of recycled products. We then asked the children to name our trash robots and they came up with the name Sally and Robbie trash robot. Please when you come into the Centre come and look at the children's hard work they put into building these two wonderful robots.

12.01.2022 The children have been learning all about the Chinese New Year. The children have played with play dough, they have made a Chinese dragon and they also painted a cherry blossom tree using pink paint and the bottom of a recycled bottle.

12.01.2022 The educators at Laugh N Learn Childcare and Early Learning Centre would like to say a huge thank you to all the parents and caregivers for attending the children's Christmas party on Friday the 23rd November. The children had lots of fun singing Christmas carols to all of their families and caregivers. When the children had finished singing Jingle Bells a special visitor had arrived to see the children and to wish them a merry Christmas. Each children then received a special present of a book from Santa for the to take home and read with their families.

10.01.2022 Last week the children did a science experiment learning about floating. The educator sat all the children down and they talk about different things that float. After there big discussion the children where still interested so the educator went and grabbed a container of water and three oranges, One unpeeled, one half peeled and one completely peeled. The children the hypothesized which one will float and which one will sink. The educator then sowed the children the outcome of the science experiment. After being shown all the children asked if they could please have a go at the experiment. All the children absolutely loved learning about science. Learning outcome 4.2

10.01.2022 We would like to thank all the past and present families that came and help celebrate Laugh N Learn's 15th anniversary. The day was very relaxed and was fantastic to see the smile in the childrens faces having fun on the bouncy castle. We look forward to being their and supporting the community now and into the future.

10.01.2022 As part of our program we have been learning all about our emotions. So to continue with this theme as well as incorporating Pancake Tuesday. The children helped to make pancake mixture to be cooked into emoji face pancake for there afternoon tea. The children had lots of fun talking about the different emotion while eating the emoji faces.

09.01.2022 On Thursday 12th November the children had a visit from the dentist. After the children had a small group time talking about brushing your teeth and why it is good for you, the children each had their teeth checked. The children also received a sticker and a tooth brush from the dentist.

08.01.2022 We would like to say a huge thank you to woolworths Westlake's for their wonderful donation of the full set of seeds from the discovery garden. The children will be able to watch the seeds grow to seedlings and then care for them until they are fully grown. The children then be able to explore their taste buds by trying the different thing we have grown.

07.01.2022 The children throughout the centre had fun doing lots of artwork for Australia day. They enjoyed talking about boomerangs and the Australian and Aboriginal flags and what colours the flags are made up from. They also enjoyed having a sausage and bread on the barbecue.

05.01.2022 Today we are celebrating our multicultural family history by having a shared lunch with the children and educators. The children had so much fun trying all the different types of food that the families brought in to share

04.01.2022 The management along with the wonderful team here at Laugh N Learn have been doing a lot of research into the things and way children will be learning at School. With the we have decided to start integrating STEM Learning into the centre to going alongside The Early Years Learning Framework. As part of the STEM Learning the children have started using hands on learning and have been doing some wonderful science experiments. In this photo album you will see the children using natural materials while playing with play dough and also a water and oil experiment showing the children what happens when you mix oil and water together. The children had so much fun while doing these experiments and continue to ask for more. The team here at Laugh N Learn will continue to keep you update on the children's learning while attending the centre.

04.01.2022 On Tuesday the children had a wonderful surprise from Jaxon the Labrador. The children were excited when he turned up. All the children gathered on the mat to have a talk about Jaxon. the children then took Jaxon outside to have a run with them. After they finished their run they walk back inside and sat down and started to read him a story before he had to go home with his owner. After Jaxon left the educators continue their discussion about RSPCA and the work they do for the Million Paw Walk on Monday 14th May and the work they do for lost animals.

01.01.2022 The children and educators would like to wish all their families a Happy Valentines day. The last couple of days the children have been talking about the people we care about. So the children with the help with the educators made a picture of a big heart and glue bits of scrunched up coloured paper onto it. This heart will be displayed in the 2-3 room. The children also made some heart shaped cookies and a heart shaped cake for the children to share at afternoon tea. They all sat outside and enjoyed them.
