24.01.2022 X marks the spot.....we are thrilled to be hosting the National Finals for the Legacy Junior Public Speaking Awards, at Legacy House on Monday. We have 8 contestants. 2 from Tas, 2 from Vic, 2 from SA and 2 from NSW.

23.01.2022 What an amazing day, at Legacy House today. We held the state finals for the Legacy Junior Public Speaking Awards. We had 13 entrants and all of them were absolutely incredible. Each of them should be so proud of what they achieved today. I know that I was moved by all of the speeches made and it was an honour to sit and listen to these amazing young people. Next month, we also have the honour of hosting the National Finals.

22.01.2022 At the National Conference in Wollongong, Legatee Kevin Evorall and Legatee Russell Hogarth introduced themselves to Legatee John Gellibrand. Legatee Gellibrand is the kind gentleman who donated the wonderful trowel to Launceston Legacy and he is also the grandson of Sir John Gellibrand K.C.B. DOS.

21.01.2022 Some of our fabulous cadets out and about in Launceston today. They are doing an amazing job......as are our many other volunteers who have braved this chilly, winter air to help Legacy. We really do appreciate it. They will be out and about again tomorrow and Saturday, if you missed them today. Please share and spread the word. Every bit of help counts and we really are so grateful.

20.01.2022 On Monday, 13th November, 2017, Launceston Legacy Inc. hosted the National Finals of the Legacy Junior Public Speaking Awards at Legacy House. To begin the weekend event, on Saturday evening, the contestants and Legatees were invited to a Reception at The Launceston Town Hall, hosted by the Mayor of Launceston. On Sunday, contestants were treated to a trip on the Odyssey, for a luncheon along the Tamar River. The contestants all did an amazing job and showed all in attendance... just how safe our world is looking, with this generation of compassionate, caring and intelligent humans. We had two contestants from N.S.W., two from Victoria, two from South Australia and two from Tasmania. The winners were 1st - William Maligin (St Kevin's College, VIC) 2nd - Evelyn Vincin Walker (St Ignatius College, S.A.) 3rd - Helaina Kolliou (Lowther Hall Anglican Grammar School) See more
