25.01.2022 The Tigers continued their winning ways with a 41-0 shutout of Burnie at Royal Park on Saturday! Launceston's best were halfback Mata Katoa, winger Rafael Paseka, prop Lachlan Wood and flanker Max Glover. Great win by the boys!
24.01.2022 Some more snaps from today, thanks to Rhiannon James. Our Bees in action, and with the proudest coach Isaac Anderson.
24.01.2022 Quick wrap-up of a huge weekend of rugby at Royal Park! In seniors, the Tigers continued their march towards the finals series with a 76-0 victory over a gallant Eastern Suburbs side. 3 votes went to the returning Callum Lyall, 2 to first-time starter Manu Fifita and 1 was shared between front rowers, Harrison Johnson and Jack Briggs. On Sunday, a massive day of junior footy with debuts for many young Launceston players.... Well done to Nate, Lily, Lachlan, Carter, Oscar, Erin, Aidan, Kato and Eddie who played in the Under 12s - a special shoutout to young Bridget Toohey who no doubt would have been in there if not for knee surgery a few weeks ago. In Under 14s, Connor, Carter and Julius (on his birthday) all fronted up for Burnie and did the club proud. In Under 16s, Tesimita and Baden both played for the North - Tesi's brutal defence earned him one of the best on ground for the North. Overall, fantastic weekend of footy. This week the senior grade side heads to Hobart to play Taroona - our next home game will be 3 October in a qualifying final v Burnie!
24.01.2022 Today we were very proud to host the Statewide Junior Gala Day at Royal Park. It was a fantastic day and the turn out was incredible. We were chuffed to see such support and love from the Tasmanian Rugby community. Thank you to the Tamar Valley Vixens Rugby Club for their awesome efforts running the canteen. We look forward to more events like this and opportunities to see our young up and coming stars of the paddock in action. If you or your family are interested in giving rugby a go, please come down to the club or chat to one of our committee members!

17.01.2022 Despite the Tigers not having a game last weekend, Western Australia's greatest export, Will Gardiner, had a big weekend shaving his flowing locks into a glorious mullet for the month of September. Will is raising money for mental health at the below link and if you've got a few spare dollars, throw them his way for a great cause! https://www.teamblackdog.org.au//wi/mulletsformentalhealth

Get down and support this incredible group of players as they look to bring the premiership back to Launceston.

10.01.2022 We regret to inform everyone that the Club will NOT be open this evening and juniors training is cancelled. As people may be aware, a burst water main has rendered the CBD bereft of any water supply and our clubrooms have also suffered that same fate - we have realised this in the last half hour. Whilst we understand it may be back this afternoon, that is not a certainty. If the Club has no water supply, we have a loss of some of our facilities and we consider it a safety is...sue if we have no available water for a training session. Apologies for the inconvenience and disappointment caused - we will add a week at the end of the juniors sessions to make up for it. The notices which were to be handed out tonight to parents will be posted over the weekend.
10.01.2022 The Tigers continued their winning start to the season with a hard fought 33-17 win over a vastly improved Burnie at Royal Park on Saturday. Four first half ties led to Launceston threatening to blow the game out but the Emus consolidated to contest a tight second period. Best for the home side was fullback John Dunbar, hooker Kieran Fallon and lock Josh Apete. The Tigers head back to Hobart next week to play Eastern Suburbs - see below for the remaining rounds of the season!

COVIDSafe marshalls will be patrolling and visible in yellow jackets and we ask that everyone adhere to their directions and requests. Please remain seated while enjoying bev...erages and food. The canteen will be operating and t-shirts will be available for purchase inside the club rooms. Other than that, see you all at 2pm for kickoff! Can’t wait to see our Tigers run out!

09.01.2022 For everyone worried about the great man, Iese Alatimu is all okay! He went to hospital last night and was given a clean bill of health.
07.01.2022 As a postscript to our previous post, a massive thankyou to Devonport stalwart Oliver Crawford who manned the whistle for Sunday's juniors game, refereeing every game of Under 14s and 16s. I expect after that and playing in Devonport v University the day before, it was hard getting up today. The day would not have worked without him, so massive thank you for coming down.
04.01.2022 For the sake of clarity, after Sunday's great day of footy we are going to take a break from juniors rugby for a few weeks. Back into it for Term 4 - first session, 16 October!
03.01.2022 If you were not lucky enough to be there for Saturday - the replay of the game is on Duff TV! Whilst it is a bit wet at times, still a good watch! Big thanks to the Tasmanian Rugby Union for organising, Harrison Johnson for the scaffolding, Duff TV for braving the conditions and Claire Whiteway for commentating.

01.01.2022 A ripper turnout for training this week! Huge numbers on Tuesday and plenty of the boys came for a dip despite the inclement weather on Thursday night also, and we love to see it #tasmanianrugby #gotigers #lruc #ausrugby
01.01.2022 Ladies and gents! Our Seniors Awards Night is this Saturday at the Clubrooms. The event is being catered by Matson Catering.
