SPEECH INFORMATION SESSION FOR LiL AND KINDER FAMILIES Our Hagley speech pathologist Carla Dinale is offering an information session for parents on Wednesday the 23rd of September at 10am in Kindergarten Flower classroom. The session will be open ...to parents of children from Birth to 5 and will cover the basics of speech and language development, including early milestones and warning signs for communication difficulties. Carla will also be available for a casual chat and to answer any questions that you might have. Babies are welcome to attend the session and toddlers and children can enjoy a play in the Kindergarten playground, supervised by Hagley staff. 24.01.2022 Hello Everyone, On Wednesday the 23rd and Friday the 25th of September, our Pre-Kinder sessions will be outdoors! They will involve a farm walk and play at the Tractor Playground. Please dress according to the weather and wear old shoes or gumboots in case it is muddy underfoot. We will meet at the Tractor Playground (look for the Launching into Learning flag on the right hand side of the driveway and near the Olde Classroom). This will be our last session before a 2 week holiday break. For this last week the session times will be: Wednesday the 23rd at 9am Friday the 25th at 9am or 10.30am (no 12 o'clock session) *If you usually attend the 12 o'clock session on a Friday, please let me know which group you would like to join for our farm visit

24.01.2022 A fantastic week of learning through play at Pre Kinder. It is so wonderful to see our Pre Kinder children forming friendships.

23.01.2022 WEDNESDAY PRE KINDER The weather forecast is beautiful for tomorrow morning, so I thought we would do something different and run an outside Pre Kinder session in the Kinder playground. We will still have plenty of art and crafts, things to build with, water play as well as the chance for children to spend as long as they wish riding bikes and digging in the sandpit etc. We will read a story together outside too. Please enter via the Kinder front doors still and sanitise/wash hands/complete a health screen and then head outside for some fun. Please bring along hats and a drink. 23.01.2022 Hello Everyone, a reminder that our Pre Kinder sessions will take place on the farm tomorrow! Bookings are essential. The 9am session is completely full and there are very limited places available in the 10.30am session. Please come prepared for typical Spring weather - hats, raincoats and old shoes or gumboots are recommended! We will meet at the Tractor Playground. Park in the normal carpark and head over to the right of the entry driveway. Look for the LiL sign. Please complete our normal procedures on arrival at the Tractor Playground - sanitise hands and fill in health screen form. 22.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the forecast of rain today we will have to cancel our Outdoor Playgroup. We cannot cater for 25 families in an inside capacity, so sadly inside playgroup isn’t an option. Pre Kinder will go ahead as usual. We apologise for the inconvenience.

21.01.2022 Just a reminder that it is very important for families attending LiL (playgroup and Pre-Kinder) to be enrolled in Hagley's Launching into Learning program (by filling in a Department of Education enrolment form). Thankyou to those that have already filled in and returned enrolment forms. These forms need to be completed each year, so if you haven't yet enrolled for 2021 please pick up an enrolment form at your next session, or ask the school office for one.

19.01.2022 Hello Pre Kinder families. A reminder that THIS FRIDAY THE 20th is our first Orientation Session for Kinder 2021. These sessions are an extremely valuable opportunity for the children to get to know their Kinder teacher and some classmates. We encourage you to attend as many of these sessions as you are able to. The dates are Friday the 20th of November, Friday the 27th of November and Friday the 4th of December. There is also the opportunity for children to have a go at catc...hing the bus to school on Friday December the 11th (followed by a parent). You should have received an email on Friday with information related to your child's orientation time. If not, please contact the office ASAP. Kinder Information Packs were handed out to those in attendance at Pre Kinder on Friday and were also sent home with older siblings on Friday. 15.01.2022 The forecast indicates that we will get quite a bit of rain tomorrow. As a result Outdoor Playgroup will instead be an inside session in the LiL room (still from 9am). Look for the LiL flag to the right of the old hall (visible from the carpark). There will be lots to keep little ones entertained on a rainy day. We have a messy art activity planned so don’t wear your best clothes!

13.01.2022 This week is Book Week! We invite our Pre Kinders to come dressed as their favourite book character to their Pre Kinder session. This is completely optional. 12.01.2022 Hi Everyone, thankyou to those that have completed the forms survey with regards to days of preference for Kinder 2021. We have the vast majority back and are just waiting for the last few before we can begin the class placement process. Please continue to bring your completed Kinder Enrolment forms into school as soon as possible. A reminder that Friday is a student free day and staff professional learning day, so there will be no Pre Kinder or Outdoor Playgroup. A reminder that Kinder Orientation sessions will begin the following Friday (the 20th of November). You will receive notification via email on Monday the 16th of November of your child's class and orientation session time. The 11th will be a regular Pre Kinder session and the 13th a farm walk (a make up session due to us being rained out last term). These packs provide some great tips and ideas for developing talking and reading skills. We are busily adding some additional activities to these bags linked to some well known songs and nursery rhymes. If you are interested in ordering a bag, please fill in the survey below. 04.01.2022 Hi Pre-Kinder families, unfortunately the weather forecast for tomorrow doesn’t look good with rain predicted. It is possible that we will need to cancel our Pre-Kinder Farm Visit If it is cancelled we unfortunately won’t be able to offer a classroom based session as the number of people booked into our Farm Visit sessions exceeds our covid safe limits for indoors.
