22.01.2022 My goodness this brings me immeasurable joy, creating the most special and heartfelt creative with one hundred percent all I have and then some effort, it just makes my heart sing knowing it’s all-in the best possible effort, and I just dance into that world and it is the very best possible feeling I didn’t ever know I could experience. And in doing so, we must remember the extreme climate and conditions and realities associated with war, and give great thanks that there are so incredibly many of us who lack that experience and perspective. I am all for truth and justice and honour, but the disgraceful single minded innuendo and illusion in a recent ‘story’ have absolutely no place in the pursuit of such, particularly when it concerns those who have given and endured more than w...e who have not can ever comprehend. Fortunately they are men of honour. I will not so quickly forget all they have given. I am grateful every single day for the great sacrifices made so that I may roam and live and love and think freely. Our freedom of information and speech should be delivered to further greater our nation, not just some ratings. 08.01.2022 Standard Cup Day Mini Memento done a little differently this year! It was so lovely to spend the day with some of the special souls who made this whole new world of joy on walls wonder whirl golden on the Goldie, and enjoy my first meal at @rydgesgoldcoastairport now that it’s finally and wonderfully open. It was so lovely to sit in that space and see all our work now resting happily all around, just quietly making the place ever better. I’m usually flitting between a beautif...ul glass box full of precious souls and an absolutely bright and packed and humming Mounting Yard on Cup Day, so I scooted up to the verrrry soon to open Salty Fox Rooftop Bar and found a bright and loud jostling crowd on the walls, and sent my best and beaming joy to all my Spring Racing loves all around Australia and the world who I’ve been coming together with this week for the past decade. I miss you all, I send you love and I cannot wait to bustle and jostle and giggle and cheer again in the years ahead. For this year though, these fine feathered flamingo friends and feathery fronds made a very wonderful jostle possible! So truly beautiful to be on the beach this morning for five whole hours, painting and heart singing the whole while. Sections of this will get very, very big on that next wall, as we make a magnificent collage of the elements all the way from floor to ceiling and then some.
