14.01.2022 I'm sharing this post on behalf of Alan Stein, an author, speaker and former basketball fitness coach who has worked with some of the biggest names in the game. I've not met Alan, haven't even spoken to him but I've followed him on social media for long time. We don't always agree with each other but I respect his opinion and his work. Despite following him on social media for all these years I had no ideas of the battles he was facing. 10.01.2022 How many times have you ordered the bircher muesli rather than the bacon and eggs thinking that you were taking the healthy option? If youre anything like me, plenty of times. While muesli isnt bad for you if youre trying to get into a calorie deficit they can hurt. A 50 gram serving will set you back 200 calories ... and believe me that you will have more than one serving. Add yoghurt and youre easily over 500 calories. And you may still be hungry which may cause you t...o snack later. The lesson is, if you want to get into a calorie deficit, know your calories and make them work for you. 01.01.2022 Many of my massage therapy clients come to me complaining of tightness in their upper back. Much of this "tightness" can be attributed to lack of shoulder mobility. Here are some simple exercises to help improve shoulder mobility. #1 banded pull aparts - use a rubber band or tube in prone or supine (overhand/underhand) grip. Its important to pull the band apart in a controlled fashion ... not too fast.
