08.01.2022 Since I can remember Good Friday in my house always is Hot Cross Easter buns . Copious amounts of Buns and Tea at my Grandmothers house. Everyone sat around the giant table set with fine bone china, tea pots and piles of butter as far as the eye could see. The buns and tea were bottomless. Friends , family and neighbours would pop in and out for a good part of the day , until the last batch was baked . My fondest memories of my grandmother are making batches and batches of t...hese buns , while everyone chanted buns!buns!buns! in the dining room . These days they hit the shelf early in the year, but nothing compares to Good Friday ‘s buns and coffee . Importantly it reminds me of family and sharing . So today , while we are all at home!
