25.01.2022 Just back from a trip to the Veneto area of Italy. Saw some great exhibitions - 500 years of Orlando Furioso in Ferrara, Francis Bacon in Treviso and several other inspiring shows, none too light. Its nice being home now though - I did miss nature - and Im looking forward to being back in the studio!

23.01.2022 Just back from beautiful Italy spent with just wonderful people. The residency was in the Gargano area of the region of Puglia and its such a special place; rugged and unspoiled with crumbling Saracen castles every few kilometres and medieval villages clinging to the cliffs. It was very inspiring to be there again with artists from all over the world to share the experience (and some great food and wine, of course).

20.01.2022 Getting my sculptures back from the powdercoaters today, appropriately in the horse float. Had a few comments like ‘you should feed your horses more!’ from passersby. Hope you can come and see them, me and the studio during the Margaret River Open Studios event starting on the 12th September!

18.01.2022 The life-sized stick horses before and after the recent storms. Ughhh. Plenty more sticks to work with, now though, as theres several trees down. I think Ill stay in Italy, thanks.

13.01.2022 After the energy of the Margaret River Region Open Studios Im loving relaxing in Italy with good friends and getting some painting done in Puglia amongst some lovely international artists. Having a ball!
13.01.2022 Like many cultural institutions, the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles is closed due to the spread of the coronavirus. But during this challenging time, the Getty has found a way to keep people engaged with their arteven though they can’t see it in person. They’ve challenged their social media followers to recreate a work of art with objects (and people) from the comfort of their own homes. And the internet did not disappoint.
