23.01.2022 Another hit weekend ahead and we have a double header in both A and B Grade with games on Saturday and Sunday. Please check MyCricket for full match details and sides. Please also don't forget for games in Wodonga there is no permit required bit masks are to be worn off field if you are sitting within 1.5m of other players or spectators. Post match Saturday will be at Mungabareena Reserve for cool down and drinks with Daryl Tuffey there to host. Post match Sunday will be at S...pringvale Heights Tavern. And also a save the date is in place for our Annual Christmas Party on the Deck at LPO on Saturday 5th December at 7pm. Pizzas all you can eat at $10 per head with drinks at bar prices and games organised for both little and big kids and an appearance by Santa. 22.01.2022 After excellent preseason training attendance, our attention turns to friendly fixture in A and B Grade against East Albury this Saturday at LPO. Both matches will be played on Number 2, with A Grade commencing at 10am and B Grade immediately after at 1pm. After consultation with CAW, our advice is to have all participants sign in via QR codes under training purposes and adhere to social distancing practices. Please also be advised that the bar will not be open and if spectat...ors do attend they must also sign in via QR codes and adhere to social distancing practices. 21.01.2022 Please see the below message from Club Coach Daryl Tuffey regarding tomorrow: Hi guys, i have been in contact with mick brown regarding the wicket and block preparation for tomorrows games, unfortunately the block is very wet, the wicket is fine, but the square is too wet to get ready in 24hrs. So tomorrows games are cancelled, as i dont want an injury or damage the block prior to the season starting in a couple of weeks. We still have a practise one day game vs albury next ...saturday, i will confirm the side during the week. Have a good weekend
21.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who attended our AGM and Presentations last Saturday. A cracker day up on the Deck and a decent crowd enjoyed pizzas and beverages whilst congratulating the award winners from 2019/20. Our Committee for Season 2020/21 is as follows: President - Sam Strelec Vice President - Jarrod Lyons Secretary - Michelle Armstrong ... Treasurer - Mick Brown General Committee - Daryl Tuffey, Brayden Mulvey, Ashley Lafferty, Ryan Brown. As well, our leadership group for Season 2020/21 was officially launched: Senior Coach - Daryl Tuffey Development Coach - Robbie Mackinlay Assistant Coach - Sam O'Connor Bowling Coach - David Coulston A Grade Captain - Michael Galvin B Grade Captain - Brayden Mulvey Selection Panel - Daryl Tuffey, Robbie Mackinlay, Michael Galvin, Brayden Mulvey, Sam Strelec. Vice Captains and C Grade Captains to be announced in late September. Congratulations to our incoming committee and leadership group, we are very excited for the season ahead. 08.01.2022 A fantastic day on Saturday with two practice matches held against Albury Cricket Club. A great hit out for both clubs and special thanks to Albury for inviting our club back to Billson Park postmatch, much appreciated. Photo's of the A Grade game will be posted later courtesy of Scott Gawley. With A and B Grade commencing this Saturday and C Grades the following, we have some important housekeeping to attend to. Firstly and most significantly, please ensure when you train or... play you sign in as soon as you attend any venue. CAW are monitoring this very carefully and there will be fines and suspensions in play for those not complying. It isn't difficult to do and if you don't own a smartphone, please get one of your club mates to sign you in, it takes less than 30 seconds. Secondly, we need every player to register at playcricket.com.au by no later than this Thursday 8th October. There is an option to pay subs online when you register, if you select this option please message Sam Strelec so that we can reconcile the record straight away. Subs can be paid in person with cash or via direct transfer to the club account. Please contact Brayden Mulvey to sort out your payments for this season. We are aware that everyone has different financial circumstances and are willing to accommodate within reason. We expect everyone to be financial by 1st November 2020 as our club has operating costs and deadlines that need to be met as well. And finally, if you know anyone that wants to play senior cricket (or are a junior that would like to play senior cricket) please come on down to training this week. Training days are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm at LPO Nets via Centaur Road. We are potentially looking to field 3 x C Grade sides this season and need to finalise numbers by this Friday 9th October. 06.01.2022 A message from the Club President Following the current situation we are all faced with, our club has been left with no option but to hold off on any form of social gatherings. This unfortunately includes any form of trophy presentations. We will look to present the 2019/20 winners at a season launch later this year. We have also had to postpone our AGM to potentially July/August. Our current committee are more than happy to continue representing our great club until then.... 04.01.2022 Hello Panther family As restrictions are starting to ease in NSW, we are pleased to announce that our 2020 Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday 27th June at 12noon up at the LPO Deck. Please see the attached photo with a proposed constitutional change as per NSW Fair Trading requirements. Following the AGM we will be hosting the Trophy presentations from last season and also launch season 2020/21. Our coaches, captains and selection panel will all be officially unv...eiled. The bar will be open and food available to purchase. We will also organise the footy to be on a big screen and extra heating due to being mid-winter. Within the current guidelines attendance will be capped at 50 people, however this could change in the coming weeks so please keep an eye on this page for any updates. #wearelavington See more
