08.01.2022 Well spring has defn hit, and as usual, with not much lead up to the 30 degree temps. This means there is a chance your lawn could get quite a shock at the sudden increase in temps. There is also less dew on the ground so the ground will be drier. There is a simple rule of thumb that allows you to gauge how much water your lawn needs when the temperature increases. A broad guide is 20mls for 20 to 30 degrees. Divide this amount up between your allocated watering days. It pays... to do your retic audit with catch cups and to make friends with your retic controller so you know how long to run your stations to get this amount of water out. Terry sits on the national turf industry SIAP (Strategic Investment Advisory Panel), whilst running the turf farm, producing premium quality turf and running the commercial maintenance contracting side of the business.
