24.01.2022 Mock-ups are a fantastic way to show off you’re work but if you’re a small business like LBD Digital, then spending hundreds of dollars on mock-up templates isn’t really an option. Instead, get a bit creative with the resources that you do have. By using Canva Pro and Pixlr, our team was able to create a great graphic to showcase pages of YDAN’s Annual Report. Watch the video to see how they did it!... P.S. If you’re a Canva Pro sceptic like we were in the beginning, thinking the free version was enough for your business, then think again. The ability to create images with transparent backgrounds is worth its weight in gold. Plus the access to stock photos is amazing too. In the long run it will save you time and money.

21.01.2022 LBD Digital has been a little bit busy lately, with a new client recently signing up to use our services. So much so, that we forgot to announce that our website is on the way! While the website is just a "coming soon" landing page, it marks an important step in the growth of our little business. Building a website from scratch with no coding experience is definitely a learning curve, but as Aristotle said "For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by do...ing them. This website will help to increase our online presence, while the current design directs potential clients to our social media accounts which are more established and provide more details on our services. 18.01.2022 Hello! I thought it was finally time to put a name to the face behind Little Black Dress Digital! My name is Amy and I'm the founder and company director of LBD Digital. What a better day to introduce myself than International Women’s Day, where we celebrate all of the female business owners in the world who have worked hard to get where they are today! Over the weekend I took some time to take professional photos for the website (thanks @hannahjadephotos ). ... It was important to me to create photos that not only reflected the company's brand but also my individual personality, giving clients an insight into who they would be working with. Launching the website is one of the last things on my to-do list before LBD Digital is officially launched. So, watch this space! What are you ticking off your to-do list this week? 14.01.2022 They say that the new year equals new adventures, so it seems like a perfect opportunity to officially announce that I’ve started my own business! Say hello to Little Black Dress Digital! I’m still in the process of building LBD Digital (watch this space for our website), but it’s a small marketing company, specialising in owned digital media at this stage. I was inspired to start LBD Digital after completing my internship with Wildbrand and realising just how good working ...for yourself and from home is! Even though I don’t graduate from Curtin University till July, the opportunity just came along and everything fell into place, it was meant to be! 07.01.2022 Giving back to not for profit/community organisations is important to us here at LBD Digital. Often they don’t have the marketing expertises or funds to pay an expert. One of our first NFP projects was helping Youth Disability Advocacy Network - YDAN with their 2020 Annual Report. 06.01.2022 When you're a small business owner, you often have to wear many hats. You're the marketing department, accounting department, HR and many more. For this reason, it's super important to keep on top of tasks. Here at LBD Digital, we use a combination of Asana and the calendar app. Both programs are free to use, which is great for small businesses on a tight budget and they can be viewed on both your phone and laptop. Asana lets us view our tasks in a calendar format which all...ows us to see a weekly/monthly view of what's ahead. The ability to organise the tasks by projects (we have one for each client) is an extra bonus. The calendar app comes in handy when it comes to keeping track of meetings or events. At the start of each month, we'll transfer our events to Asana to ensure that we don't schedule too many tasks for the days when we have lots on. 04.01.2022 Marketing really allows you to explore both your strategic and creative side, and that's one of the many reasons why we love it. Being creative outside of work allows us to practice our skills and just relax. Amy is self-taught when it comes to her graphic design skills, spending hours watching YouTube videos.
