24.01.2022 Senior Property Manager Holly graduated yesterday with a Graduate Diploma of Business Administration from The University of Newcastle, in what was one of the first COVID safe graduation ceremonies in NSW. Holly will continue to finish her Master of Business Administration in 2021. Also pictured is Tracey, one of our admin team, whose daughter Laura graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction. Congratulations on your achievements Holly and Laura.

18.01.2022 Another month of great numbers for Leah Jay! In August we saw our vacancy rates hit 0.4%, and now for September we have record low days on market and days of lost rent. The market is tight right now, but we credit these great numbers to our implementation of virtual walk throughs, improved application system and dedicated leasing team. This means our owners are saving on lost rent and our tenants are able to move in to their new home sooner.

12.01.2022 Girl Friday is in search of some Santa's to make 150 children in crisis Christmas wish come true. Follow the Girl Friday page this afternoon and evening so you can become a Santa for a child in need, each child will be posted individually and the first person to comment ‘Girl Friday Santa’ will be selected to purchase an appropriate gift for the child. Gifts must be dropped off by 30th of November so they can be distributed to the children. Leah Jay will again be a drop-off point for gifts, with collection points at our Belmont and East Maitland offices.

The Newcastle rental market has been tight over the last few months, with vacancy rates consistently low. If you have been trying to get into a rental property, follow our top tips. 1. Make sure you have gathered all of your documentation so it is ready to go for your application, so when you have found and inspected a property you like yo...u can apply straight away. Properties are often leased quickly, so being prepared and having everything ready is vital in securing the property you want. 2. If you have a pet, make sure to include a pet resume on your application. Provide details of your pet and highlight their best qualities, this helps owners and property managers to get to know your pet and make an informed decision about having you as a tenant. 3. Get your application in! If you are interested in a property don’t just book an inspection, but make sure you apply quickly. Our applications can usually be transferred and used for other properties, so you don’t need to fill out multiple applications. Take the time to provide as much information as you can and in this tight market, don’t be disheartened if you aren’t successful first time round.
