25.01.2022 Just wanting to let everyone know that the Clinic has now started winter hours. Opening hours are - Monday through to Friday 8.30 am - 5pm. Saturday is closed and well as Public Holidays.

23.01.2022 Good morning to all! From the New Year we will no longer be grooming large breeds such as Border Collies, Golden Retrievers and breeds over 25kg. If you wish to have your large pooch booked in for his or her final groom with us before Christmas please call us 51552077 as places are filling up!

18.01.2022 Easter is only a week away! Over the Easter Holidays Lakes Entrance Animal Hospital will be closed from Good Friday 31 March and reopening Tuesday 3 April at 8.30 am. We hope you dont need a vet over the Easter period, but if you do, both vet clinics in Bairnsdale and Snowy River Vet Clinic in Orbost have a vet on call for emergencies. 16.01.2022 The weather is warming up again, have you given any thought to Tick prevention? Here at Lakes Entrance Animal Hospital we recommend year round tick prevention. Both Nexgard and Bravecto are excellent products in Tick and Flea prevention. Nexgard is a beef chew given to your dog monthly. Bravecto is a beef chew given to your dog every 3 months. Unsure whats best for you pooch? Stop in and well help you pick the most suitable prevention plan for you!

13.01.2022 Good afternoon - We have rain!! Whilst we do our best to cater for unplanned appointments, could you please try to contact us prior to visiting to make a set time. This will avoid lengthy wait times, we know how frustrating it can be when you have other things to do! Obviously emergencies cannot be predicted, by giving us a call (if safe to do so) whilst you are on your way this can make a huge difference to us so we can plan for your arrival. Keep in mind we are a single vet practice, we cannot see clients whilst performing surgery! Enjoy the cool day today.

13.01.2022 Government changes from July 1. For any dog or cat born after 30th June 2020, it is an offence to have a microchip implanted without PER Source Number in Victoria. The link to the Pet Exchange Register https://per.animalwelfare.vic.gov.au should you need further information or to obtain a number before booking in for a microchip.

05.01.2022 PLEASE!! We beg you to please ensure all your pets microchip details (phone numbers & address) are updated. Too many times stray animals are unable to be reunited with their owners due to incorrect details and it breaks our hearts. If you find a stray the correct procedure is to contact the EAST GIPPSLAND SHIRE and ask for a RANGER to collect from you 5153 9500. Vet clinics are not allowed to scan or keep strays due the local council laws. Many are not aware of this and are dissapointed after making the trip to see us.
