24.01.2022 If I could offer one piece of advice it would be to give up the ‘finish line’ mentality. If you think there is an endpoint and that when you get there you will suddenly be ‘ happy’ The sun will come out, music will play, and all will right be in the world The problem is, it never happens like that, there is no finish line when it comes to your health & fitness. Those expectations also bring with them a case of the should be’s I should be losing more weight by now... I should be lifting more weight by now I should look different by now I should be feeling better by now The Should Be’s then place a lot of weight on your shoulders. Pressure to always be on your A game, never failing and always having to be perfect. You then get into a cycle of beating yourself up, comparing yourself to others, and get well into the on again/off again cycle. Think about this: No pressure, no deadlines, no timelines. No expectations to perform at the highest level 24/7, just consistent incremental steps. Embrace that there is no end date to all of this. You are in the forever game. Not the 10kgs down and it’s over game. This does not mean that you shouldn’t have goals along the way. Because in the forever game, whats the rush? Who cares how long it takes? What matters is you can enjoy the process and ENJOY your life as you go. That’s when the real magic happens! See more

24.01.2022 Age 19 insecure, no self confidence & very unfit Vs Age 42... Yes granted the big fella up there likes to test my ass lately juggling clients, hubby working away, 2 teenage girls & a recently diagnosed autistic toddler is hard especially as our family as all back in the uk. My message to you ladies is that you’re never too old to start and life will always keep you on your toes with one thing another regardless of where you are at. You have to look after yourself so you ca...n look after everyone else especially as a mother and wife. Nothing perfect about me, sometimes I eat the wrong foods, I drink too much wine which I’m working on, sometimes I fall right off track with training and beat myself up just like you but then I pick myself up again. Don’t let the hard times be your exciuse to quit, it’s in those tough times where we grow and learn. Good luck to anyone who’s out there waiting for this bitch to quit! I’m so proud of how you’ve stayed consistent despite an injury, showing up and doing what you can. There was a real noticeable increase in both strength and endurance today. 12.01.2022 5 min clean Chicken curry. Pan fried chopped chicken breast in spray coconut oil. Once sealed throw in half bag of stir fry veggies with finely chopped garlic,, juice of half lemon,a light shake of - curry powder, garam massala, cardamom & tumeric. Once veggies softened add half tin of organic chopped tomatoes, salt pepper and a couple pinches of Nativa natural sweetener, let it bubble up for 30 seconds or so.

12.01.2022 Feeling like youve got a zillion miles to go and struggling to know even where to begin as youve never exercised and feel so out of shape ?? Start TODAY - go outside and just walk. Sounds too easy right? To create any lasting change with health & wellness goals there is a HABIT that must be formed if want to get anywhere near the place where results lie. ... By committing to something as simple as walking daily you start to create the pathway to becoming a better version of yourself, Ive seen it a thousand times - you will struggle to remain consistent if you bite off more than you can chew starting out. Walking alone will start to heal you in every way- physically, energetically, neuromuscularaly, mentally and so on. Perhaps youre not ready to go outside, thats OK too, dont beat yourself up we all start somewhere, all you need is a step - step up and down simple as that, you can even hold on to a rail if that helps. Just try that every day for 10 mins listening to your favourite uplifting music. I guarantee within 2 weeks youll feel the benefits. Fast forward to summer ... YOU could feel soooo much better within yourself, have so much more vitality, be sleeping sounder and making better food choices as youll be more inclined to not want to undo the amazing work youve put in. Overall you will feel so glad that you started today #believeinyourself #starttoday #youAreCapableOfAnything!

09.01.2022 Struggling? Fallen off track? Remember that in the pursuit of any meaningful goal there will be good days and there will be bad days. Some days youll crush it, some weeks youll be on fire, some months youll feel unstoppable. Guess what??... The OPPOSITE is also true, some days you wont be great, some weeks youre going to suck, some months will go out the window because life threw you a curveball. This only took me 15 mins and after just 3 rounds I could totally relate to the Eminem song I was listening to!!! #momsspaghetti

09.01.2022 Belly fat 101 ! The internet is filled with videos from various trainers & fitness influencers promising things like 6 min abs or do this for a minute a day and get a six pack. 99% of these are wrong. If you want to loose belly fat there is no amount of crunches in the world that will do that for you, instead you have to reverse how it got there in the first place. ... Heres how it works - you have the outer layer called subcutaneous fat (the stuff you can grab), the next layer is the rectus abdominis (the muscle you see on those who have no or very little subconscious fat. Then the inner layer is called visceral fat which is stored around the organs (this can easily been seen on those who have a large pronounced midsection) Visceral fat is the dangerous type, not necessarily because of the fat itself but because of how it got there in the first place. The root cause of visceral fat comes from 2 hormones- too much insulin from eating frequent meals, high carbs and sugar. And cortisol, a stress hormone which is also raised by insulin. If you truly want to loose belly fat you must reverse what caused it in the first place. You can lower insulin resistance by intermittent fasting so this way youre not eating less food its more about when you eat so your body has the chance to break everything down properly. Limit starchy processed carbohydrates like bread, pasta & cereals and cut out sugar. Focus on eating a whole food diet rich with vital nutrients and stay super hydrated. When it comes to exercise opt for steady state cardio like walking or high intensity interval training (they are both in contrast to each other but both keep cortisol levels down) Weight training is key and if youre a beginner your body weight alone is enough to start with. Remember if youre new to exercise to always check with your GP first.

This beautiful 11 year old young lady came along with her mum to our bootcamp sessions during our 2017 winter challenge. We didnt focus on anything other than making it fun for her with no pressure as she trained alongside mum with lots of exercise modifications suited to her growing body. ... You should have seen how happy this little superstar was (and how proud we were as a team!!) when she crushed level 13 on our finial beep test after getting to level 3 only twelve weeks prior!! So not only did her fitness increase dramatically, her confidence grew so much and she felt so much better within herself too Happy Tuesday

06.01.2022 Calories in, calories out. Youve just gotta eat less and move more right?!WRONG!!! The reason youve struggled to reach your goal is not down to your lack of will power, the fact you cant do it or that youre a complete failure. Any calorie restriction diet will never be sustainable. Your own common sense and experience will verify this. We have not only changed the way we eat, we have changed the way we live. A calorie is not just a calorie, once consumed calories b...ehave differently inside body, they have different hormonal responses, some trigger hunger, some dont. These responses also vary hugely across individuals. You can follow the cleanest meal plan known to man but you need to understand once food goes into your mouth your hormones take over and decide where that fuel goes. LISTEN to your body!! Learn about hormones within the human body and how they work. Implement lifestyle changes sustainable for life and turn your focus away from just calories and food labels or the newest trendy diet and look towards the type and quality of the foods you consume 80% of the time. You might be thinking but Im busting my ass training 6 days a week! - Once again it comes back to the hormones, slogging your guts to total exhaustion for long durations on a regular basis will only increase your cortisol levels which then inhibits fat burning. These situations are when many fall off track and let the bad habits slowly creep back in. . Dont waste anytime pondering on where you went wrong or feeling sorry for yourself. Focus on what you can change TODAY. Make a plan, a realistic plan thats achievable for you and put in the work one day at a time. Its something to be excited about knowing that within a matter of days youll be feeling full of energy again

05.01.2022 5 min Clean, Creamy Chicken Alfredo Pan fry chopped chicken breast in spray olive oil & a little garlic powder. While thats browning throw a packet of zucchini spaghetti in the microwave for 2 mins (pierce bag twice) Sauce is simply 1/2 cup organic unsweetened almond milk, heaped spoon of natural Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup raw cashews and a tablespoon of braggs nutritional yeast. Wizz in a blender for 30 seconds. ... Add sauce and spaghetti to the pan mix through. Serve with a little lemon juice. Beautiful! See more

(This will make 2 large pizzas so great for lunchboxes & leftovers) Add healthy whole food toppings of your choice and swap mozzarella for a light dusting of fresh Parmesan and sweet paprika. ...
