19.01.2022 We pride ourselves in ensuring puppies get a really positive experience at the groomers, especially on their first visit . Stanley the 8 week old Moodle was brought in today by his new ‘pawrents’ for a hygiene clip (face, feet & bottom trim & nail clip). Tracy doesn’t normally trim dog’s feet like she is in the first photo, but to make sure Stanley felt comfortable she adapted and went with him as he moved in for a cuddle. He obviously felt more confident as he stood on the table for the rest of his groom. He was a really good little fella as he was fitted for a new harness after his groom too Well done to Amy & Luke for getting your fur baby accustomed to grooming as a pup (and carrying him everywhere until he has his last vaccination!)

18.01.2022 We hope you all enjoy the festive break have fun and stay safe we look forward to seeing you in 2020. We are back from Tuesday the 7th of January Cheers everyone .

18.01.2022 A very sad goodbye to the sweetest girl you could have met Meg has been part of our salon family since before we moved here to Greystanes it's hard to believe we won't see her again, our hearts go out to her family at this hard time. Rest in peace now beautiful lady.

18.01.2022 Here's a random fact of cuteness for you today. The name Corgi translates to "dwarf dog" in Welsh. Plus, according to Welsh legend, fairies rode Corgis into battle explaining why some Corgis have darker fur on their back that forms their "fairy saddle"

18.01.2022 Congratulations Tasha who is the winner of our 10 year anniversary raffle, thank you to everyone who came in this month to be a part of our celebrations and to everyone else who has been here with us for the journey over the years.

16.01.2022 Billy the shih tzu looking spiffy after his day at the groomer.

15.01.2022 This is a hard post to write... we at times say goodbye to your pets as they get old and that time comes which does hit us hard it's always a sad moment in life but this time we have lost one of our own and we are all devastated right now. Yesterday Leanne and her husband Steve said goodbye to their boy Baz some of you have seen photos of him over the years or been lucky enough to meet this gentle giant and know that he was her world. He was a special dog that to some was an... uncle, a nephew, a grandson, and especially a son that made the best friend and protector. Rest in Peace now Boofa From Tracy and Chrissy

15.01.2022 I’m only 10 weeks old and this is the 2nd time I’ve been to see Leanne. She trimmed my nails and tidied around my eyes & face. I was a very good boy even though I could hear the driers and see the big dogs being groomed! Milo the Cavoodle #cutiepie #cavoodlesofinstagram #cavoodle #cavoodlepuppy

14.01.2022 It's coming to that time and spaces are already limited as so many people are pre booking all their appointments to the end of the year. Getting in early to secure your appointment is 100% necessary please contact the salon number for Chrissy to lock in a time.

14.01.2022 A Halloween tail as scary as they come, it's true just ask the dog .

14.01.2022 Roary and Mia enjoyed being pampered today. Look at those smiles - and it only took 56 photos to get this one where they’re both looking at the camera

13.01.2022 The pups and even the kitties would appreciate us making them feel better more than one day a year but today is officially our day .

13.01.2022 Happy Easter everyone enjoy this day as best you can but please keep an eye on the chocolate stash so the curious or the gluttonous furry children don't get into it as chocolate can kill our pets. #stayhome #staysafe

11.01.2022 WE ARE RE-TURNING BACK TO THE SALON ON WEDNESDAY 6TH MAY We will be still taking precautions by spacing the appointments 15 mins apart from each other. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SUPPORTED US THROUGH THESE TRYING TIMES, I'M TRULY OVERWHELMED I would love to see pictures of your fur babies quarantine looks, lol

11.01.2022 ATTENTION Due to the current advice of our government health officials we have decide to temporarily close the salon solely to provide protection for our staff, our community and in particular, our elderly pet owner clientele. This has been a hand on heart decision for me to make as I understand the importance of your Fur Babies welfare.... Even though we are still in high demand we make this decision/sacrifice primarily in the interest of public safety. We will keep up to date with the advice of government health officials as to when we can return to normal opening hours. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page or website for updates. Leanne.

05.01.2022 SNAKE SIGHTING - GREYSTANES, NSW This, what is believed to be an Eastern Brown Snake, was sighted in the backyard of a Gizmo Community... member in Greystanes on Tuesday 5th January, 2021. If you see a snake in your yard or garden DO NOT ATTEMPT TO KILL IT. Walk away from it slowly and keep an eye on it from a safe distance (several metres away). Keep your pets safely away from it and the snake will usually move on in its own time. If the snake has decided to stay around, and you really want it removed, you will need to contact a licensed snake handler to have it removed. If the snake is inside the house, close the door of the room it is in and place a towel under the door to prevent it from exiting before you call. (Google Snake Catchers to find the nearest one). Snakes play a very important role in the Australian environment and are protected under environmental legislation, so you should not attempt to harm or remove them yourself. Most people who get bitten by snakes do so when attempting to remove them. TIPS TO DETRACT SNAKES FROM YOUR YARD - Remove shelter like piles of rubble, building materials and rock walls; - Keep grass short; - Create a clearing around the house; - Plant native trees that attract snake-eating birds like kookaburras; - Get rid of rodents; - Remove water sources like ponds and bromeliads; - Seal potential entrances to your home. WHAT TO DO IF YOUR PET HAS BEEN BITTEN BY A SNAKE The sort of reaction your pet has to a snake bite is determined by a number of factors: the type of snake, the amount of venom injected and the site of the snake bite. Generally the closer the bite is to the heart the quicker the venom spreads to the rest of the body. Signs of snake bite include: - Sudden weakness followed by collapse - Shaking or twitching of the muscles and difficulty blinking - Vomiting - Loss of bladder and bowel control - Dilated pupils - Paralysis - Blood in urine If you think your pet has been bitten by a snake you should keep them calm and quiet and take them to a vet immediately. The chances of recovery are much greater if your pet is treated early, with some pets making a recovery within 48 hours. Pets left untreated have a much lower survival rate and many die. If your vet is some distance away, if practical, you can apply a pressure bandage a firm bandage over and around the bite site to help slow the venom spreading to the heart. Do NOT wash the wound or apply a tourniquet. If you can identify the snake, tell your vet what type of snake it is but don’t try to catch or kill the snake. If it is dead, bring the snake with you, otherwise there is a blood or urine test that can identify whether your animal has been bitten and the type of snake responsible. Once the snake has been identified your vet can administer antivenom. Please share.
