21.01.2022 MyTime 27th October This week for MyTime we are going to Purple Chicken for morning tea. We are meeting at 10am. Morning tea at your own cost. For those who don't know where Purple Chicken is, you will find in the front entrance to City Central Church Albury, next to KFC and opposite the Pediatric Rooms. 17.01.2022 My Time is back!! Save the date! Tuesday 9th Feb 2021, we will be resuming MyTime for the year. We are meeting at The LEAP centre at 9.30am. Morning tea will be provided. For those who have never attended MyTime before and want to know what it is about, it is a group for carer's to take time for themselves. We run a program that is directed by what parents want. We run a mix of information sessions, self-care session and coffee and chat session. The only pre-requisite to a...ttend this group is for you to be a carer of a child with additional needs aged 0-16 years old. No formal diagnosis is needed to attend. New carers are welcome anytime. 14.01.2022 Starting Prep is a milestone for all children and parents/carers. It's an exciting time but can also be stressful. A smooth transition is more likely if parents/carers have all the tools and information about what to expect and how to build a positive relationship with their school. Inspired Carers and Association for Children with a Disability (ACD) are running a free online workshop series in mid November for parents/carers who have a child with a disability or developmental delay starting prep in 2021. The workshop will be hosted by Nicole O'Brien (Inspired Carers) and delivered in three sixty minute sessions over three consecutive weeks. 11.01.2022 MyTime is Back for term 4! Who could have predicted what a crazy year 2020 was going to be. But the great news is that MyTime is back NEXT Tuesday 13th October. Drop in for a coffee and a chat. We are also going to plan some fun activities for us to all do during this last term of 2020 including making some cool Christmas presents later on in the term. Fingers crossed we may even get our Pizza BBQ in if restrictions are eased. This term MyTime will run from 9.30am to 11.00am. Look forward to seeing you all next week

07.01.2022 The LEAP Centre Carers Connect group has purchased a number of Resilience Project workbooks for carers. For those who haven't heard about the Resilience project I have included a short video about it. It is a project that focuses on finding the positives, even during the tough times. We will also be setting up a specific Facebook group so that we can share our experiences with others if you feel comfortable to. This is open to anyone who accesses The LEAP centre past and present. 06.01.2022 Student Support Group - Free online workshop. Find new ways to support your child's learning.

06.01.2022 Our wonderful MyTime play helper Steph Duff has created some activity packs for your kids to do at home. These kits include colouring in, recipes, a mask to make and some bubbles. If you would like one of these kits then please let Katrina at LEAP know how many kits you would like and which ones. These kits can be picked up at The LEAP Centre Wodonga or can be dropped off to you. Steph will be creating more kits next week also.
