25.01.2022 A very chilled, child lead morning today. We are enjoying the sandpit with water outside while dolls/babies have been popular indoors today.
23.01.2022 At drop off this morning one family was telling me how they built a cuby last night at home so I decided to extend on it and we built a cuby out outs. It was a dinosaurs house, our morning tea spot and a shop. I wonder what it will be this afternoon
23.01.2022 Today we were lucky enough to be invited to a special presentation from Mr Climate. We learnt about differnt gasses and the effect they have on the world we live in. We enjoy lots of hands on activities and Miss Aleisha can lots of extended learning happening.

19.01.2022 Busy morning for my little friends today. We worked on number and turn taking while we played snakes & ladders, we used our muscels and coordination on the obstacle course and more counting and matching happened at the water trough and inside.

17.01.2022 Yesterday was Miss E's Birthday. Our little friends though it would be a nice surprise to cook a birthday cake to surprise her with after school but first some yoga to relax and get ready to cook!

16.01.2022 Today we looked at jelly fish. After learning things like they have no eyes, they like both hot and cold water and they come is all different colours we got crafty and made jelly fish in a bottle.

13.01.2022 Today we were invited to another educators house for a play. Our first outting since April!!! Lots of smiling and laughing
13.01.2022 Play dough and glitter..... we explored them for nearly a full hour today! Lots of chatting about the colour, smell (we added lavender), feel and what we were making.
13.01.2022 Our 3rd and finaly (for now) visit with Mr Climate. Today we learnt the sky is thiner then the peel on a apple . We then go to see/touch and explore a hybrid car, solar panels and a home battery system.
12.01.2022 Mr Climate part 2 Today was our 2nd visit from Mr Climate and we did a little recape about what we learn last week (about how carbon dioxide heats the planet and about the items that we use that increase this). Then we looked a tray off ice that represents the north pole before doing a little walk about Miss Robyns house looking at this that are good for the environment (timber furniture/ solar panels/ lots of plants) VS things that are not so good ( plastics/ gass/ electricity produced fully by coal). After out little exploring we checked out ice and it was almost melted!! Can not wait to see what we will learn at our next visit.
11.01.2022 Wet and cold was the perfect weather for our planned cooking off pea and ham soup today. We all gave it a good try. Some loved it some not very impressed at all but we gave it a go and thats amazing.
09.01.2022 5,4,3,2,1,0.....blast off!!! Today as a little Friday treat we watched play school and we learnt about space so after morning tea we extended on the space theme while exploring numbers. We took turns rolling the dice then reading the number and finding the matching number on our "blast off sheet" we keep rolling the dice till finally we filled a number. We counted backwards from that number and blassed off around the room. This afternoon we are going to cook space cakes like they did on play school

07.01.2022 Thursday and Friday we spent the days enjoying our amazing winter weather outside.
05.01.2022 After a freash start we enjoyed the moring out side making pasta necklaces before Miss Cathy popped in for a visit.
05.01.2022 After a chilly start we enjoyed some outside time to ride bikes, jump in puddles, climb and play hide n seek. Inside we loved working on our spelling and turn taking
05.01.2022 What a way to end the week, we are making the most off the nice weather while we still have it and walked to our little park for morning tea and a play.

03.01.2022 What a way to end the week, we used play dough as water for our dinosaur world, we then headed outside for morning tea in the sun. Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
02.01.2022 My little pirate crew had a blast at playgroup today. We walked the plank, chatted to other pirate friends and went on a treasure hunt!!! Chocolate gold coins and icy poles, the perfect treasure for our little pirates. We sat and enjoyed our treats while listening to a story called " When a kid like me fights cancer" it helped us understand what a cancer family might go through and why a fundraiser day like our playgroup is so important as they money helps is so many ways.
