Here’s some more information about what our programs offer: The toddler program caters for children aged between 2.5 to 3 years. This 45 minute session is specifically designed to help toddlers grasp early literacy and numeracy skills, and strengthen their language development. Each session... is immersed in sensory play, songs, rhymes, stories, crafts and movement, to help children learn and 'energise' their brains. The best part of these invaluable sessions is that parents are supported too. Through modelling, explanations as to what makes a rich learning activity and experience, along with plenty of new and exciting ideas to do at home, parents learn alongside their toddler. The preschool program caters for children aged between 4-5 years. This 90 minute session explicitly teaches both early literacy and numeracy skills. These sessions provide a stimulating and fun learning environment, encouraging children to explore and make learning discoveries, in a focused and structured way. We believe if children can form straight and curved lines, then they can form the letters in their name correctly. Yes writing uppercase letters is easier, but then they have to relearn to write their name the correct way. Here at Learning Buds, we love helping little ones refine and strengthen their pincer grip. If you were not aware, the pincer grip is using your index finger and thumb to grasp small objects. While children typically develop this skill before the age of one, learning to refine and strengthen it proves successful to hold a pencil correctly. Ch...ildren with a strong pincer grip will not tire easily from drawing, and their drawings will be clearly visible; not faint. We offer a range of crafts and activities to help strengthen those little muscles in each child’s fingers!
