23.01.2022 We're pleased to announce our impact stats from 2020! Despite the bumpy year that we've had we're very proud of these results! Thank you to everyone, our funders, our supporters and our families for allowing us to deliver these services across the year.

20.01.2022 We want to show our appreciation for the team at Mounties and their ongoing, generous support! Recent funding from the club will not just support students to learn, but will also ensure vital psychology programs are available in schools to promote positive mental health outcomes.

18.01.2022 Do you ever struggle to keep up?

17.01.2022 In light of the challenges many children faced during the COVID-19 school lockdowns, NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian, and NSW Education Minister, Sarah Mitchell MLC, have announced that the NSW government will fund small group tutoring to help students who have fallen behind. Over 5000 tutors will be employed to deliver the initiative in every NSW public school, as well as in independent schools with high levels of need. It is estimated that students with learning difficulti...es learn at around half the rate of their peers. Research from the Grattan Institute has shown that as a result of remote learning during the pandemic, the achievement gap for disadvantaged students widened even further, potentially contributing to the loss of a month of learning over a two-month lockdown. As an organisation dedicated to supporting children who struggle with their learning, we are thrilled to see that the NSW Government is taking this action to support the educational outcomes of students in need.

06.01.2022 It's #NAIDOC Week! This year's theme, 'Always Was, Always Will Be' recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. They are spiritually and culturally connected to this country as the first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists. Let's all celebrate our history and the rich culture and diversity that Aboriginal a...nd Torres Strait Islander people have brought, and will continue to bring, to it. 06.01.2022 One of Learning Links’ organisational priorities is to embark on a journey of cultural learning to enable us to fully engage with and support respectful and meaningful relationships with our Aboriginal community and its peoples. To support this, the Learning Links Board and Leadership Team recently spent a day at Kamay Botany Bay Environmental Education Centre to participate in an On Country excursion led by Dharawal Elder, Dr Uncle Shayne Williams and Dr Lana Leslie. It was a very insightful and moving day as they experienced a Traditional Owner’s perspective on Australia’s history and learnt about Aboriginal cultures, spirituality and relationships with Country. It was a wonderful opportunity and one that we recommend to anyone. Thank you to Uncle Shayne Williams and Lana Leslie for this amazing experience!
