25.01.2022 Would you believe, our current crop of Flight Instructor Rating (FIR) students had their FIR test flights booked in for the following week when it was announced that Victoria had to go into full lockdown. After a frustrating wait, they can now finish off all of their hard work. The first round of congratulations goes to Summer Russell - you are now ready to teach the next generation of pilots! We look forward to sharing more of our FIR graduates as they get through their flights tests over the coming days!

19.01.2022 Congratulations to Elton, another one of our Flight Instructor Rating (FIR) graduates! What a fantastic effort from all the FIR students to come back after such a frustratingly long break and absolutely nail their tests!

18.01.2022 Gotta love those #TwinEngineTuesday feels in the Diamond DA42!

12.01.2022 We are blessed with some pretty stunning scenery to enjoy while flying around Victoria. Student Roshan took this video flying over Wilson's Promontory, which is a beautiful wilderness area in Gippsland.

12.01.2022 We've got another flight training video with Grade 2 Instructor Clement live. In this lesson, you will learn about how to descend the aircraft. Check it out in the link below - you can check out our other training videos as well, and don't forget to subscribe to our channel! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vQeuRz0zMU

07.01.2022 Flying solo is an a wonderful achievement for anybody, but it's extra special when you do it at age 15! Congratulations to Bishoy Megally, who completed this awesome achievement today. What a legend! 15 is the youngest that you are allowed to fly solo, but you can start your training earlier.

03.01.2022 One of the most popular ratings for pilots to study is an Instrument Rating. As the name suggests, an Instrument Rating teaches you to fly using your instrumentation only. This allows you to fly in a range of conditions beyond Visual Flight Rules (VFR), including marginal weather and night time. The more conditions you can fly in, the easier it is to build your flying hours. We have a range of aircraft available for instrument training - here LTF instructors Owain and David are going through their paces in one of our DA40 aircraft. Cheers to instructor Casey for the pic!

02.01.2022 LTF Instructor David Marien has passed his Instrument Rating Training Endorsement (IRTA), which means he is now qualified to conduct Instrument Rating training! Within less than year of completing his initial Flight Instructor Rating, David has achieved Grade 2 status, a Multi Engine Training Endorsement, and a Night VFR Training Endorsement. Impressive stuff! At LTF we are very much invested not just in training, but in pilot career development.
