We need to learn to navigate the unknown from and within the present moment. Our decisions are often made on what we knew in the past. With a faster changing environment, this does not serve u...s anymore. To continue to make intelligent decisions we have to get to know ourselves better, be aware of our patterns and be able to let them go. From that place, we can sense an emerging future that is based on our current emerging self and we can use our will to make an intentional decision towards the future. Otto Scharmer from the Presencing Institute at MIT, Boston USA, has been working with research and development of processes for more than 3 decades to help leaders to lead from the emerging future. The following process draws on one of Otto Scharmer's processes called Journaling. I facilitated the following online group process over the last month and the results were inspiring. It not only allowed for in-depth reflection on your leadership journey, but it also allowed being heard and reflected by others. This resulted in increased awareness, self-discovery and a feeling of togetherness.

10.01.2022 A lot of the people who come to our Art of Whole Person Facilitation online courses join us to gain more confidence in how to translate their people skills and experiential processes into the online environment. Since a lot of us have moved online and into a more remote working environment, we keep hearing that the workload has increased and that a lot of people experience end to end meetings online, which is exhausting and produces limited results. So, I have been sitting w...ith this question on how can we make these meetings more energising and productive? Over the last 6-8 months, I have moved our experiential facilitation skills training online, have worked as a technical facilitator for a large global online workshop and run a number of online collaboration events. On the way, I have collected various tips and ideas on how to make our online meeting experience more engaging, energising and productive. I have put my learnings into a short video series which will become available on Udemy.com by the 12 September 2020. 08.01.2022 I am co-leading this next "Art of Whole-Person Facilitation Online" Live training. This training provides the opportunity for participants to practice new skills in this online meeting's facilitation environment. We are looking specifically into how we can shift and read energy levels and create a connection as a group online. Our facilitation technology has a track record of over 30 years and works with unique facilitation frameworks that enable whole-person collaboration and working within the emerging space of the unknown that makes good facilitation so skilful.

06.01.2022 Our Art of Facilitation Online is now in week 2. We have 12 participants of experienced and emerging facilitators learning from each other. We are experimenting on how we can be nourished, engaged, effective, whole-person facilitators online for a whole day workshop. Here is a framework that we have been starting to develop which helps as a pathway out of getting stuck in online meetings. Enjoy and please leave comments below.

06.01.2022 Conflicts are often uncomfortable for people as it brings up old pain from previous experiences. So we don't talk about them. If we don't talk about them the emotional charge can grow over time and creates a wedge that pulls a relationship and a group apart or it unconsciously or consciously sabotages our goals. Groups become more and more ineffective. Having a safe process to talk about what the issues are, helps us as a group to stay productive and in synergy. 03.01.2022 Collaboration requires alignment, otherwise we would all pull into different directions. Alignment created with choice can help to avoid that hidden intentions and unspoken goals pull a team or organisation apart. We all know how painful that is. So how can we create more choice when we align as a team? Particularly in a traditionally hierarchical organisation. This is one of the main questions that I have been exploring in my work with leaders, teams and organisations. I know that facilitation techniques enable choice and I like to support leaders to develop those. This article hopefully gives some useful tips to help with that.
