24.01.2022 COMING November 2020 - Dermaplaning MYTH BUSTER: Q) Whats the difference between Dermaplaning and shaving your face at home? A) there’s a couple of major differences between the two techniques. Derma not only gets rid of peach fuss and dead skin but it also allows your skin products to penetrate at a deeper level and leaves you with brighter looking skin. ... Q) Will Dermaplaning cause breakouts? A) Actually the opposite. A build up of dead skin can clog your pores and hair follicles, which can not only cause pimples but can block your skincare products from penetrating the skin. Q) Does Dermaplaning hurt? A) the thought of a blade gliding across your face is a scary one, but it’s not painful at all if you do it right that’s why it’s best to leave it to the pro’s. Q) Is there any downtime? A) No it’s perfectly fine to schedule your appointment during your lunch break, however since we’ve removed all the peach fuzz and dead skin it’s best to hold off on applying makeup right away as your skin pores are open and may cause irritability. Q) What should I put on my skin after my treatment? A) A rich Hyaluronic Acid serum or mask or moisturizing cream. Q) Will shaving my face make my hair grow back thicker? A) Contrary to what you’ve been told, Dermaplaning will not make your hair grow back thicker or darker. Q) How often do I need Dermaplaning treatments? A) it’s recommended to wait at least 4 weeks between treatments however some people may limit their treatments to once a season.
