17.01.2022 Similar to ANZAC Day 2020, the way Legacy fundraises for Legacy Week (30 August - 5 September 2020) will be drastically different to years gone by. Legacy Australia has advised all Legacy Clubs to follow their relevant state and territory government restrictions and guidelines, as well as adhere to social distancing requirements. It is advised that our volunteers, staff and those in our care who are deemed vulnerable or at high risk of contracting COVID-19 should not particip...ate in face-to-face fundraising. If a Club is permitted to go ahead with face-to-face fundraising activities, Legacy Australia advises that they maintain strict hygiene practices such as regular hand sanitizing and washing, keeping a distance of more than 1.5 meters and refraining from making physical contact with any persons. Clubs should consider the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as prescribed by local state and territory authorities. Any means of collecting physical or digital currency - collection buckets, tin hats, EFTPOS machines, square readers - should be wiped down after each use. Using Tap and Go technology is recommended. Any questions or concerns regarding the above can be directed to [email protected]; or call 1800 LEGACY (534 229) to speak to your local Club directly.
