24.01.2022 LITTLE BADGE, BIG IMPACT Legacy Badge Week 2020 in Tamworth and surrounding areas will be very different this year. We want to keep our volunteers safe. We won't be having the multitude of wonderful volunteers as in past years. We won't be having school students from our local secondary schools selling in the streets as they have done every year.... We will still have a few of our dedicated Legatees selling our badges and merchandise outside the City Post Office in Peel Street, Tamworth Shoppingworld, Northgate Shopping Centre, and Tamworth Square. Our Legatees will be seated, will be wearing masks and will have all COVID-19 protocols in place. This year we will be going cashless as much as possible. The photos show how easy it will be to donate to Legacy. Just aim your smart phone camera at the QR Code, click and follow the prompts. It can be done on this facebook photo if you wish. Any donations to Tamworth and surrounding contact groups Barraba, Boggabri, Gunnedah, Manilla, Narrabri and Quirindi Legacy will be used to support our Veterans’ families in these areas. Please remember that Bequests are also gratefully received and faithfully applied

10.01.2022 A great weekend for Tamworth Legacy. Our thanks once again to the Peel Valley Lions members, who in collaboration with Tamworth Legacy's Legatees did major garden work at the Legacy "Karingal" units. 10.01.2022 A huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the gentleman that dropped into the Tamworth Legacy office last Tuesday morning whilst Legatee Greg was there. The gentleman left a plain envelope with a very substantial donation to Legacy - he didn't leave any details with us. Please be assured it will be used to benefit our local Legacy widows and families.

08.01.2022 All of Tamworth Legacy were saddened by the passing of Legatee Meg Barnes of our Manilla Contact Group at 2.20 am on the 16th November, 2020. Meg had fought a brave battle with Pancreatic Cancer for the past few months. She was still Treasurer of Manilla Group until a few weeks ago. Meg was a Veteran herself. She served as a WRAN on HMAS CERBERUS. ... Before becoming a Legatee in 2005, Meg was the right hand woman behind late Legatee Brick Barnes. She was always destined to be a Legatee. Meg was a very active Legatee, and was well known and loved by all in our Legacy family and the wider community. L/Meg and L/Lynne Martin were a formidable team for quite a while in Manilla. They were joined by Legatee David Abberfield earlier this year. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Meg’s family and to L/Lynne and Harry Martin in particular. The attached photo was taken at the 2019 Manilla Christmas Luncheon and is my favourite pic of Meg. Rest in Peace Meg. Lest We Forget
