15.01.2022 What would happen if the events of the Nativity took place during a global pandemic? We would have... the greatest story ever Zoomed! Here is Episode 1 of 4, enacting the Christmas story via 2020's Most Valued Player, Zoom.

14.01.2022 The residents at Epworth House made this great video about why they live there and what’s special about their community. Check it out and share with anyone who might be interested in applying for 2021!

13.01.2022 #tbt This Sunday 29th November, Rev. Radhika will begin our Advent preaching series on the Songs of Advent with an exploration of Mary's song, known as the Magnificat. At this year's CSU Climate-Fest, Gabrielle Cadenhead and Hannah Buckley performed a poem written by Gabby, comparing the Magnificat with the climate activism of Greta Thunberg. https://gabriellecadenhead.wixsite.com/gabriellecadenhead

10.01.2022 Today, LUC members David H Barrow & Raúl Sugunananthan attended a vigil at the Uber office for the five food delivery riders who have been killed on Sydney's roads in the last two months: Xiaojun Chen, Dede Fredy, Chow Khai Shien, Bijoy Paul and an as yet unnamed fifth rider. Raul says: "I went because the Australian government is leaving delivery workers behind. As a son of migrants, I know that I am not far removed from being in this precarious position. As a person of faith, I am called to love my neighbour and that means standing up for the marginalised." Recognising that gig economy workers receive limited safety advice from food delivery employers, suffer abuse and fear reporting incidents, we join our voices in calling for urgent regulation to address this injustice. Everyone who goes to work has the right to come home safe.

07.01.2022 While we'll continue to live-stream services through Advent, we've got some exciting plans afoot! Join us at 10am each Sunday for a Sermon Series by Rev. Radhika & Rev. Adrian, on the Songs of Advent, bar Week 3, which will be a Lessons and Carols Service, featuring music and readings by many LUC members. Each week of Advent, we'll be premiering an episode of the 2020 LUC Nativity. Last year's Bethlehemian Rhapsody was a hit (telling the story through the music of Queen). This year, we'll be hilariously telling the Christmas story via 2020's VIP, Zoom! The final episode might include rapping... by our ministers... And on Wednesday 16th December, various ministers from Sydney Presbytery will offer a Blue Christmas online service, inviting reflection and prayer on the year that has passed. All welcome!
