This SUP was also donated before our 9 year old son was then diagnosed with cancer himself. Although we wish with all of our hearts that circumstances were very different, we now have an even greater appreciation for businesses like ours to throw our support behind events such as this and people like Tim. 20.01.2022 LEJEN MARINE PROUDLY SUPPORTING STARLIGHT CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION LEJEN Marine was named after our 8 year old son LEnnox and our 9 year old son JENsen. 7 months ago, Jensen was diagnosed with a high-risk hepatoblastoma (a rare type of liver cancer). ... Throughout the course of his treatment, Jensen has been forced to deal with the pain and sickness not only caused by the tumour, but also by the treatment itself. This has resulted in extended periods of time living inside the walls of hospitals. While we were aware the diagnosis and treatment would be a challenge, what we werent prepared for was the mental challenge of a child being confined from the family unit, friends, school and sports team peers, as well as the anxiety surrounding the treatments. The Starlight Express Room and the Captain Starlights at the hospital provided Jensen with an arena to escape the consuming emotional challenges associated with his serious illness and help to make him feel like the boy he remembers before he had cancer. As a show of appreciation, Jensen, through the family business Lejen Marine, is wishing to raise money in support of Starlight. For the month of November, $100 from every boat sold will go towards supporting the Starlight Childrens Foundation. Furthermore, an Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board will be up for open auction at this years Timber Boat Festival held at the Royal Motor Yacht Club on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd November. Funds raised will assist the Starlight Childrens Foundation in brightening the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children.

You may recognise him from Highfields social media of him surfing down a wave in a Roll-up and staring in their online images from the Roll-up range. You may also recognise him from his GoFundMe page, which had received a lot of media publicity of late as it sat alongside the page of a high profile athlete. For those of you who dont know, our company LEJEN was named after our 8 year old son LEnnox and JENsen (sorry Connor, you ar...rived on the scene 4 years too late). After several months of trying to discover why Jensen wasnt feeling himself, he was diagnosed with a high-risk hepatoblastoma (a rare type of liver cancer). As a result, over the past few months Lejen Marine has had to significantly scale back its operations while we care for Jensen and support our other children. We understand that this may have caused some inconvenience to our customers and suppliers and we apologise if we havent responded to you or if our showroom was unattended. Family members are currently assisting us in running the business while we have been spending extended periods in the hospital. Once again, please accept our apologies for our reduced operations at this point in time.
