20.01.2022 Hi everyone, I hope you had a lovely Christmas and wish you all the best for the New Year! Here are some photos of a great project we realised late last year. The kitchen features low gloss, two pack painted routed doors and a 60mm rugged concrete Caeserstone benchtop. Internal we've used Austrian made hardware by Blum and German made LED lights by Hera.... Laura and Luke Molloy were aware that as a traditional joinery, we can build more than kitchens and cabinets so they engaged us to create two solid timber projects at the same time: a traditionally build American Oak mantle piece and barn door. 17.01.2022 Our cellar door will be trading in Beaufort for the last time tomorrow, however, it is not a sad day for us. The team are ecstatic about the new location at Win...dermere - Ballarat with bigger and better things to come! The last thing Sarah wants to do is to pack up the last of the wine so tomorrow we will be offering a 30% discount off all purchase by the case! After the team has a big sleep we will open the new cellar door sometime next week at 10 Powells Rd Windermere - Ballarat, VIC 3352 (Off Remembrance Dr). 10.01.2022 Another Lemlex kitchen creation to be proud of. Our customer had a wish list for their kitchen renovation which included: - exposed hinges - two tone two pack painted finish... - face frame construction (frame between each cabinet and drawers) - solid timber bench tops with gum veins - incorporate a plate drying rack, LED down lights and crown moulding on top. - shaker style doors. With our specialised experience we were able to say yes and custom make all of these, resulting in a very happy customer with a beautifully designed kitchen. Credit to the customer for the awesome recycled pressed tin splash back installation!

05.01.2022 We're getting excited! Michael at the winery is counting down and so are we. 39 more days to be precisely and we're out of the little old and into the not so little and not so old factory! Lemlex will be closing down for a Christmas break on 20/12 and start the relocation process on 03/01 to reopen for business on 20/01. In the mean time, give Michael a hand to clear his stock and grab a bargain at 2 racecourse Rd!

03.01.2022 Very happy with this desk and shelving project that was created at Lemlex joinery. This desk will help a lucky student get through his VCE studies. 01.01.2022 FEATURED TIMBER: BLACKWOOD (Acacia Melanoxylon) At Lemlex Joinery we've noticed the increased demand in Blackwood which is why I've shared some more information and photos in this post.... Blackwood is often called Tasmanian Blackwood as this is where larger blackwood trees grow in larger volumes. Therefore the mayority of milled blackwood is sourced from Tasmania. Blackwood veneer, applied to board, is also readily available which is a cost effective way to use real blackwood to create flat surfaces such as shelving or doors. It is definitely an ‘appearance timber’, with colour ranges from a very pale honey colour through to a dark chocolate with streaks of red tinge.The sapwood is much paler in appearance. The grain is usually straight but sometimes wavy with a fiddleback pattern. Blackwood is an interior-use timber with low in-ground durability and is not ideal for external applications.
