23.01.2022 We have been very grateful and excited to work with Designer Markets Australia for the past two months. With the COVID-19 outbreak, weekend markets have been closed. Designer Markets Australias founders created a website for market sellers to display and sell their products and engaged us to manage their social media as well as work on their strategic growth strategies. In collaboration with their team we have shaped and executed their social media and have been overwhelm...ed by the response to their fantastic offering. They have just cracked 1000 page likes from a near standing start with outstanding engagement and reach stats! 21.01.2022 Today is World Emoji Day 92% of internet users have used emojis and daily there are 5 billion emojis sent on Facebook Messenger alone Should you use emojis in your social media and comms? ... The short answer is (in most situations) - They increase engagement on many social media platforms (particularly on Instagram) - Email open rates are increased when there is an emoji in the subject But dont overdo it and make a message unreadable and avoid them if you are communicating about serious situation or activity or important public information. And before you post an emoji, make sure you have the correct one or know what it means!

We also work with clients in the US so Saturday mornings coffee zooms equals Friday night tacos and tequila in New York. We love the flexibility it gives us and our clients love it too. But Sunday mornings are always home/ family time - we cook breakfast, read newspapers and books or catch up on TV shows and Vegas starts napping early.

14.01.2022 We are celebrating in the office this afternoon! We have been helping a brand new Melbourne based client with social media over the past two weeks. They have been heavily affected by the pandemic and lockdowns and today we posted a new product available in their store and within 90 minutes they had already had their first sale! We couldnt be more excited for them and it just shows the power of social media and the wins that are possible for businesses at this time!

Instead, here are some cool things you should know about Dave...... He loves tea. In particular, Yorkshire Gold, for which he is known to drink upwards of 8 cups a day (black, with no sugar in case you were wondering). He is the Vice President of South Coast United Soccer Club, where he is a Life Member and player. He is an avid reader of sports and music autobiographies. Two of his faves? Open by Andre Agassi and The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band - The Motley Crue Autobiography. He loves a good pizza, but if it's on the menu a chicken schnitzel with chips and gravy (on the side) always wins out! He is known to wash either of them down with a pint of ice cold beer! He has travelled all over the world, but his all time favourite holiday spot is New York, a city he has visited 7 times. He was born in Slough, England. A town that was made famous in Ricky Gervais' "The Office".

Would you believe that today is Bobblehead Day! ... For over 100 years, bobbleheads have been entertaining and fascinating fans and collectors. Early bobbleheads, known as bobbers or nodders were developed in Germany. They really took hold in US pop culture in the 1950's and 60's and then resurged in the late 90's when professional sport teams began using them as promotional items. It doesn't have to be fancy or have lots of pages, even a single page website is fine. Why? ... Not everyone is on social media so a website gives you visibility to a larger audience A website gives your business more credibility and surveys show that many people will check out your website before making contact with you You need to be able to showcase the services your business offers and answer any frequent questions. This is hard to do on social media in a cohesive, easy to find way. It is tough to reach a broad audience on social media without paying to do so You can make your website work for your social media, so that anyone who visits your site can be targetted with Facebook ads, so they work hand in hand.
