25.01.2022 Last Solo Eisteddfod for our two soon to be graduates- Kirra and Ingrid! Thankyou both for always representing us everytime you step onstage with such class, strength, technique and passion! You are loved and respected very much by everyone at LRDANCE and although you didn't get the chance to perform alot this year we will finish the year celebrating you both and look forward to our end of year Concert! Congratulations beautiful girls!

25.01.2022 You start by taking your 3 year old daughter and /or son to dance class as something to fill an hour of her/his week and give her/ him an outlet for her/ his energy. She /he comes home from class and continues to dance around the house, wearing a few spare scarves from your cupboard or last years costume from the dress up box - asking every day "do I go to dance today?" Next thing you know, you're complaining about the hours spent driving back and forth to the studio, the... later-than-you'd-like rehearsal (on a school night?), time sitting and waiting at the studio for classes to end when you have a million other places to be, and don't even get me started on the money - tuition, shoes, shoes, costumes, shoes. Did I mention shoes? You fret and worry that a "normal" childhood is passing her / him by. She's / he's not on the netball team, she's not a runner or in the swim club. She's /he's rarely at the dinner table because she /he has a class almost every night of the week. Family holidays are planned around rehearsals. But before you know it, she's / he's danced their last concert and discarded their last pair of shoes and it's all over too soon. When it's all over and she's/he's left the stage for the last time, will you remember the hours, the money, the worry of the physical toll? My guess is "NO". You will remember the gifts dance has given her/ him : the ability to prioritise and multitask, a strong, flexible body, the ability to handle pressure and last minute changes, and an appreciation for music not currently heard on the radio. You will be grateful you are sending your daughter or son out into the world with with a strong work ethic and long attention span. You will have a great sense of peace knowing your daughter or son is part of a strong circle of young women and men equally capable of lifting one another up when the road is rough, as they are out celebrating one another's triumphs. In the end, you can pat yourself on the back because taking her /him to that first dance class years ago was one of the best parenting decisions you made. See more

It was so great and exciting to see our students onstage doing what they love and being able to show all our hard work in a crazy year! 23.01.2022 Dress Rehearsal- TICK!!! Now only too wait another two weeks to hit the stage! Last minute cleaning and tidying of all our dances and final preparations so we can put on a fantastic show! 21.01.2022 Evolution Dance Competition! And another one of our awesome dancers got to be onstage today! Caity received 1st Place Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Song & Tap and 2nd Place Jazz! So great seeing all their happy faces after being onstage finally after such a long wait! Congratulations Caity! You always dance your heart out and never fail to committ to your dance journey! Very proud of you! Looking forward to lots more of our dancers getting back onstage in a couple of weeks!

19.01.2022 GET THE BEAT! And Big Congrats to Willow! Also making the Finals after competing during the year! Willow placed 3rd for Tap double platinum, 4th Place Contemporary and Platinum scores for Lyrical and Jazz and to top it all off was named "Rookie of the Year"! Fantastic Willow! Huge amount of improvement and confidence with your dance training this year! Looking forward to seeing what you can do and preparing for your 2021 Season!

06.01.2022 We are extremely grateful and proud to be able to present our End Of Year Concert "Still, We Dance" on the 7th & 8th of December! It has been a challenging and unprecedented year for us all and with limited performance opportunities for our students it is wonderful we can have our students doing what they love on stage and with a reduced audience of family and friends under a COVID Safe Plan, so that "Still, We Dance".
