25.01.2022 A hidden paradise amongst the chaos. I wish I could reveal the exact location of these photos but theres a particular surf break here that the locals would rather no one know about.. so I’ll keep my word @ Indonesia

25.01.2022 Our cheeky little Ruby Roo! Golden hour in a cotton field has got to be up there with one of my favourite things. Especially with models like Rubes!

24.01.2022 Believe it or not, this was approximately 3 minutes pre-tantrum. Lucky we have these photos to work with, no one will ever know

22.01.2022 Afternoon flights home = not having to open gates. Golden hour turning it on yesterday afternoon, what a dream @ Cloncurry, Queensland

22.01.2022 Bushfire recovery and the things I’ve learnt, that might help others... On the 6/9/19 we lost 2,5000ac of grass in conditions very similar to what’s been expe...rienced over the last few days. Since then, we’ve had 152mm or 6 inches of rain. The images below are 121 days apart, or 4 months and this country has NOT been grazed in that time. Thankfully, we didn’t lose any livestock, or houses. I share these thoughts in order to help in some way those who have experienced recent similar devastation. Take some time - don’t have any expectation of yourself to achieve anything for a few days. Your mind and body will need time and space to process what’s happened, give it time. Of course address the immediate needs of your animals. Reach out for fodder that is available thru charity or the LLS. We didn’t use this, as we were able to buy some at short notice and still had some grass, but it is there for you to access, so please do. Make a plan - my order of priorities was: Livestock - how many can I afford to keep? What feed have I got available? Do any require vet assistance or euthanasia? Do I need an excavator to bury the losses? Our decision was to sell any cattle that we didn’t have feed available for. My initial reaction was to sell all our trade/young cattle and retain our breeding stock, however, after some time to think, I chose to sell our breeders. I decided that I could retain more young cattle than breeders, w a lower feed requirement, meaning I had more to turnover, which would provide more cashflow. Water - as essential as feed, try to restore your water system as soon as you can if it’s been damaged. Fencing - this will be a long haul. Chunk it down into small stages. We set weekly goals as to how far we wanted to get done, which made the task much less daunting. Start w the boundary and work your way thru your priorities from there. BlazeAid are an incredible resource, choose to use them if you wish, they are wonderful people. Accept some help - acknowledge that it will take many hands. Think about the additional hands you’ll need and whose most readily willing and able to contribute. Our community is that much stronger for having this disaster, lift each other up, remember everyone has done as much as they thought they could to this point. Get some rest - these experiences make us stronger, but there is no denying they take a toll, physically and mentally. Just stop. If you’re thinking about getting that one more thing done, before going home to your family, think about if it will matter if it’s done tonight, or can it wait until the morning, most of the time, it’s the latter. The love and support of your family is what you need most right now, and so do they from you. Keep an eye out for your mates, now more than ever. Keep talking. Stop for a yarn whenever you see them. Check in on them. Take care of yourselves and each other and stay safe. My sincerest condolences to all those who have endured such huge losses recently. Ring me, text me, msg me anytime if you’d like a yarn, anytime. I hope this helps, in some small way. Feel free to share if you think it will.

19.01.2022 Miss waking up to this every morning for 6 straight months. Heaven on earth this little piece of paradise!

19.01.2022 On our trip to the west coast last year we passed this salt lake. I insisted to pull over and send the drone up to have a better look and wasn’t disappointed. This is one of the many aerial shots I have of Bumbunga Lake. It’s only about 150kms north of Adelaide and is known to change colour from pink, to blue, to white to think they also use to harvest salt from this lake back in the 1940s. Amazing stuff.

19.01.2022 One of the happiest cotton farmers in the district Little Lenny Taunton showing off some of his hard work this afternoon!

18.01.2022 Sunset beers sitting on the top of a sand dune on the edge of the Simpson Desert. Doesn’t get much better. Our dads grew up together out in this red dirt country and still tell stories about it to this day. Who would have thought we’d be sitting here doing the same thing

09.01.2022 I took this photo back in February 2017. This was a lady belonging to the Long Neck Karen Tribe in Chiang Mai, Thailand (originating from Burma). I asked for this lady’s permission before taking this photo and she (thankfully) allowed it. They say back in the day, the reason behind the coiled brass rings was not just for beauty, but to protect them against tigers. In some cases it was simply because the village leader said he preferred it. It’s believed that the neck lengthening practice only has a few generations left.. so to be able to visit and see it for myself is something that’ll stay with me forever. Such an interesting part of the world and a place everyone should visit on their next trip to Thailand

07.01.2022 5am runs at the only hill in Bundaberg with Demi looking the part in these indigenous owned and designed yoga pants. Really appreciate the @outbackcreative team for providing the goods and supporting these indigenous artists. There is so many amazing indigenous artists out there that deserve way more recognition than they get. Check out the colour of them These are definitely my pick of the lot with the design being inspired by traditional medicine leaves - Forever admiring your work Katy McGrady! Love what you guys are about @outbackcreative @ Hummock Lookout

06.01.2022 One happy farmer after finding out there’s rain on its way something positive to see amongst all the chaos going on in the world right now. For a very uncertain year ahead of us, one things for sure is it’s shaping up to be one of the best grain seasons we’ve had in years. Fingers crossed ol’ hughey delivers | Anthony Smith, Sowing 2020

04.01.2022 INCOMING SELF-PROMO POST Who would have thought 5 years later I’d be finally introducing myself I figured I should reach out from behind the Lens for a second to properly introduce myself as Heidi Those close to me know I spend 99.9% of my time living out of a suitcase and on the move both here in Aus and around the globe. 2020 has meant that I’ve been able to spend more time staying put back in my special home town of Moree. Being home has given me plenty of ...time to think about what I want my next chapter in 2021 to look like Sooo I’m excited to announce that I’ll now be taking bookings for WEDDINGS moving into 2021 With already a few weddings booked in next year I’m finally ready to get the ol’ diary out and start locking in some solid dates for 2021 and beyond. I hope to hear from (and shoot) you soon!! Heid x Photo by the absolutely wonderful Pip Williams. So grateful to have finally met Pip after all these years. Left the shoot with sore cheeks from laughing so much, an absolute credit to her. My face says it all @therealdeal_photography
