Many of you will remember Margaret (or Ms Akins!) as a Maths teacher and also Assistant Principal at Mac.Robertson Girls' High School from 1975 to 2018. She has been a hard working member of our Board and as our Board Secretary for the past 3 years. Thank you Margaret for all your time, your passion and energy for the school and the Foundation. 20.01.2022 We wish to extend our congratulations to Professor Clare Wright - our speaker at the inaugural Christina Montgomery Oration 2016 - who was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in the 2020 Australia Day Honours list for services to literature and to historical research. Professor Clare Wright OAM is an award-winning historian, author, broadcaster and public commentator who has worked in politics, academia and the media. Clare is currently a Principal Research Fellow and ARC Future Fellow at La Trobe University.

18.01.2022 This is Catriona Nguyen-Robertson - a Graduate/Postgraduate Scholarship Recipient in 2019 - conducting experiments with Dr Koshika Yadava. Since graduating from the Mac.Robertson Girls’ High School in 2011, Catriona has completed a Bachelor of Science and Diploma in Languages and is now undertaking a PhD at the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunology. Catriona works in a very niche field of immunology that is only studied by a handful of research groups around ...the world. All the researchers come together once every two years for the CD1 MR1 conference, and she was privileged enough to join them in 2019 courtesy of the support of the Mac.Rob Foundation. This scholarship and bursary is available to support students allowing them to undertake an experience, program, camp or study beyond the scope of their regular school progra...m, to help them extend their current skills and knowledge within one or more of the STEM fields. She was a successful recipient of the Academic Excellence Scholarship in 2019 and had the privilege of attending the United Nations Youth Aotearoa Leadership Tour, where she was able to spend two weeks touring through Sydney, Wellington, Rotorua, Paihia and Auckland, to learn about and compare Australia and New Zealand’s relations with their respective indigenous peoples.
