16.01.2022 To our Netball Community, The Leongatha & District Netball Association and our member clubs have voted and decided that, due to the current state government Covid-19 restrictions our 2020 season will be cancelled. The decision to play or cancel the season was not an easy one, and we understand that this outcome may be disappointing for players, coaches, parents, supporters, volunteers and the wider community, however we feel that this outcome is in the best interest of everyo...ne due to covid-19. We are hopeful that by later in the year restrictions have eased and we will be able to run our twilight competition, where we can all come together and play the sport that we love. Leongatha & district Netball association will endeavour to provide updates about a twilight competition as they come to hand. 03.01.2022 Hi All, I hope you are all safe and well and enjoying the easing of restrictions. As I'm sure you are all aware the State Government has released the roadmap to return to community sport over the last few days and whilst this is very exciting to see the return of netball, many decisions need to be made before this can happen.... Netball Victoria released another update yesterday with regards to this. Netball Victoria is delighted with the Victoria State Government announcement today of a road map for the return of community sport in Victoria. We have seen netballers return to training with cautious excitement, and know the delight that a return to competition will bring our community. We are processing the detail in these announcements and seeking further clarification before we can provide further advice to our netball community. We will provide the updated Return to Community Netball guidelines as soon as we can. Once we have received more information from Netball Victoria we will schedule a meeting to make plans for what our season will look like. Thanks, Ange LDNA President
