15.01.2022 With deep sadness we acknowledge the loss of respected Elder Stanley (Chopper, Pop) Smith. He adored his children, grandchildren and families and was as equally adored by them. His years of commitment, service and sheer dedication to the community during both his employment and retirement was and is a true testament of what kind of man he was - the impact of this is everlasting. Stan was known, loved and cared for by generations of children. He opened his door, his arms and... his heart to anyone and all who needed it. Those who knew him, felt it. Even in the face of adversity he remained humble, true, genuine and always managed to crack a joke or two. A true standout. All of our love and respect to Bev, who was and always has been the strong driver and support of the amazing man that stood before us. Back home with his cherished daughter Belinda. Respected throughout the Community, various Congresses, UAICC National, Uniting Churches far and wide and by all who met him.

15.01.2022 Team Leprena has had a very full but exciting & enriching NAIDOC week joining with various organisations to celebrate and do lots of great yarning + unlearning. Great to meet some new people and embrace new connections too.

Anyone arriving from South Australia from today will at this stage be required to enter quarantine. Further information is expected from South Australia Health and national discussions later today. There will be a further announcement later today when further information is available.
