25.01.2022 A gorgeous free camping spot on the Murray River near Cobram - all day has been lovely- watching thousands of Corellas, a paddle wheeler chugging up and down - paradise, and we are loving it.

20.01.2022 A great free camp rest area a minute off the Hume Highway at the Towrang turn off, 5kms from Goulburn exit. This is a great history stop, surrounded by convict built bridges and culverts. Set in a nice parkland on Boxers Creek with lots of bird life and kangaroos (sometimes). There are picnic tables galore and pit toilets regularly cleaned. There are more ruins across the highway but not safely accessible on foot as it involves crossing the highway - you can drive there thoug...h. We really enjoyed exploring here! 16.01.2022 Self-isolation done right

15.01.2022 So in case you haven’t been to the supermarket today this is what social distancing looks like this is the Woolworths at Cobram (and what an awesome town it is) in Victoria. The idea is that you stand behind the cross and only move forward with the next person is a trolley length away. This seems like a pretty smart idea to me however it’s a real battle trying not to cross peoples paths in the aisles! I’m happy to say that Woolworths have brought in a limit of two on a lot ...of staple items which meant that today I actually managed to get (for the first time in weeks) mince, pasta, sugar and some other things I’ve been near running out of. Most of all I hope that the elderly and disadvantaged are getting what they need. It seems that the only true shortages right now - at least in Cobram - were toilet paper and tissues. How are things looking where you are? . #victoria #australia See more

15.01.2022 This is @big4goldcoast - we were invited to stay here earlier this year and spent a week enjoying its many features - from a huge new water park and resort swimming pool, to wild koalas and kangaroos on site Then there’s the year-round kids club, major Gold Coast theme parks across the road.... this is a great holiday park to consider once we are free to travel. You can read all about it & watch a couple of videos in our new blog - the link is in our bio! . #big4 #big4goldcoast @ Big4 Gold Coast

12.01.2022 Queensland - The Government today announced the closure of all campgrounds in national parks, state forests and state managed recreation and protected areas, in... response to the COVID-19 (corona virus) outbreak. Minister for Environment and the Great Barrier Reef Leeanne Enoch said this decision is consistent with the expert medical advice of the state’s Chief Health Officer, with closures coming into effect from tomorrow. http://statements.qld.gov.au//campgrounds-close-in-respons

11.01.2022 For many Australians, their caravan, RV, camper or tent IS their full-time home, and many are being moved on from caravan parks due to self-isolation requirements excluding the use of shared amenities - some kind of government directive or provision needs to be made for them to find a safe haven during this time

05.01.2022 Our free camp spot on Lake George to escape the rising flood waters. We stayed for two nights, although it’s not on WikiCamps as a night stop We weren’t bothered by anyone, and this was the only Lake George rest area with flush toilets, so I stand by my choice The Lake rarely has a lot of water in it, but it certainly has a lot more after all that rain. 03.01.2022 Jindera Showground was a great place to spend a few days. The free campground area is empty of other campers, yet huge, with a flush toilet, skate park and ovals - and dogs are allowed! The town is bursting with history - a excellent little museum, wonderful cafes, an IGA and takeaways. All only 10 minutes drive from Albury.
