23.01.2022 I want to be a voice for all Eppalock Ward citizens. I am sticking to my principles of equality and fairness, enthusiastic about stimulating the small business sector and providing mental health training for the public to assist people who are experiencing hardship. Furthermore, I particularly aim to ensure that our state and federal MP’s are held accountable and are subject to routine checks and balances. In representative democracies, citizens delegate power to elected off...icials through periodic elections to represent or act in their interest. This is the way it should be, however, this is not always the reality. Power in the hands of the wrong people can be destructive and this is what has occasionally been displayed at all levels across government in recent times. We need councillors who will act in the best interests of ratepayers; councillors who are authentic, integral and transparent. I want to listen to the community when elected, just as I am doing now. Let us work together to bring Bendigo through this difficult time. We have to look at providing more funding to small business recovery, particularly hospitality as people prepare to go out again. Council must review the amount they are currently spending and make tough but vital decisions to ensure our hospitality industry is supported. I vow to be authentic and transparent in all that I do for the City of Greater Bendigo community in the Eppalock Ward. To make these things happen, I need your VOTE 1 Please consider voting for me to ensure the two most important things in our community are protected; the economy and the people. www.lewisforeppalock.com.au Authorised by Lewis Freeman-Harrison of 73 Ellis St, Flora Hill 3550.

21.01.2022 SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 27th, 2020 FLORA HILL, Victoria LEWIS FREEMAN-HARRISON PROMISES TO REPRESENT THE ENTIRE REGION... Eppalock Ward candidate, Lewis Freeman-Harrison, pledges to represent his entire ward and ensure no community is left behind, if elected to council next month in October. I have always been passionate about our country. I love country Victoria and I love small town communities. Community is everything and if we invest in working on our regional communities, the people in them will live healthier. Better representation equates to better mental health. Mr. Freeman-Harrison visited Heathcote this week to have a conversation with local business owners about the practical needs of their town. Our small towns need to be listened to. I will ensure small towns, such as Heathcote, are fully represented on council. More street lighting in Heathcote is needed, as well as local footpaths. Mr. Freeman-Harrison stated that he intends to visit other small towns in his ward over the coming weeks to ascertain their needs and how he can represent them if elected to council. I will be visiting other small towns next week and the week after. I want to ensure that communities such as Argyle, Axe Creek, Costerfield, Derrinal, Emu Creek, Junortoun, Kimbolton, Knowsley, Ladys Pass, Longlea, Lyal, Mia Mia, Mount Camel, Myrtle Creek, Redcastle, Redesdale and Tooleen are fully supported if I am elected next month in October. 01.01.2022 MEDIA RELEASE SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2020 FLORA HILL, VICTORIA... LEWIS FREEMAN-HARRISON WANTS TO CUT RED TAPE FOR BENDIGO HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY Eppalock Ward candidate, Lewis Freeman-Harrison, met with several small business owners this week to discuss the current challenges the Bendigo hospitality industry is facing. If elected to council, Mr. Freeman-Harrison intends to lower rates and provide funding for small businesses within the hospitality industry. Reducing rates in the short term for hospitality and small business is a key focus of my campaign. Being honest with rate payers and small business owners is also crucial. It is one thing to support workers within small businesses, it is another thing to support the businesses that employ the workers. Under the Third Step of the Victorian Government roadmap, hospitality business will be required to mainly serve patrons outside with group limits of 10 people and other physical distancing requirements. We have to look at providing more funding to small business recovery, particularly hospitality as people prepare to go out again. Council must review the amount they are currently spending and make tough but vital decisions to ensure our hospitality industry is supported. Mr. Freeman-Harrison reiterated his personal connection to small business and mental health and the symbiotic relationship they share. The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has had a detrimental effect on small businesses and mental health across our community. I understand, after working first-hand in the hospitality industry, how business owners struggle to make ends meet at the best of times. I also understand the effect this has on an individual’s mental health and wellbeing. -ends- For further media information contact: Lewis Freeman Harrison [email protected] 0413 144 434
