25.01.2022 Taking a break from mask making for lunch, but I must admit it’s hard to leave this and go back inside!

23.01.2022 Today’s task....sew up the 42 masks I cut out yesterday. There’s just a few! (And it’s only about half of my current orders )

23.01.2022 I spy with my little eye, something beginning with M..... yep.... masks! I’ve perfected my mask making this weekend and it’s seems it’s great timing with the latest announcement by the Victorian Government. These reusable and washable masks are made with three layers and come in a variety of sizes (child and adult). They are $15 each, have a bendable nose wire and are fastened using an adjustable stretchy tie. Please take your measurements as shown in the photo to select th...e mask that should fit the best. Huge range of fabrics available, so send me a message to purchase yours! Express postage is available to increase the chance of orders making it to Melbourne in time for the mandatory mask wearing on Thursday (no guarantees made by me though!)

22.01.2022 Progress! These orders hit the post office yesterday and now it’s time to start the next batch. I love seeing the fabrics people are choosing.

21.01.2022 I was feeling like I needed a snack while cutting out this item today. I think almost all of these are my favourites! Which is your favourite tasty treat?

20.01.2022 Woo hoo! I love a colourful fabric delivery Which one is your favourite?

20.01.2022 I had the Christmas music pumping today as I put the finishing touches on this order. I love the pop-style and bouncy songs that keep me energised. What type of Christmas music is your favourite?

19.01.2022 Despite the rain outside today, I was remembering the warmer, sunny days from the past week as I started sewing for Mst V’s summer wardrobe. How cute are these planets?

18.01.2022 I’ve been enjoying making bodysuits for Mst V lately. It’s a great way to inject plenty of colour into his day! Interestingly, I’ve found my neckline preferences change as he grows older. For those who dress the little people - what neckline is your preference? The envelope neck (lion cubs) or round neck (planets)?

16.01.2022 I am SUPER excited about a delivery I received today. I purchased some new, smaller branding discs from Let's Etch as I had purchased my larger one from them previously. Aren’t they cute? While perusing their website, I came across their personalised wall ruler and it was exactly what I’d been searching for! I’d loved the idea of a wooden wall ruler, but wasn’t happy with ones I had seen in my searches as I really wanted one that I could neatly and easily record both children as they grew. This one is perfect! The measurements are in the middle and I went with the option to personalise the ruler with the children’s names at the top. I also bought some arrow tags that range from newborn to 16 years old to easily record the height. I can’t wait to get it up on the wall this weekend!

15.01.2022 We’ve got some warmer weather again this week (yay!), but on the weekend I discovered Miss 5 had a growth spurt over winter and none of her school skorts fit her Luckily I had some of this gorgeous fabric on hand and thought I’d try a new pattern. It’s a nice and flowy pair of shorts! She loves them

15.01.2022 On the hunt for a funky Christmas outfit? As featured in the #lahgiftguide , check out the Viking family and all their festive cheer! Available in t-shirts size 0-6 and bodysuits size 0000-2 with your choice or red or green sleeves. https://www.loveaustralianhandmade.com/pages/seller-profile

13.01.2022 Today’s task (in between entertaining the kids!) was to complete a stocktake of all my ready to buy items. These are items I made for markets and for stores I was involved in and it’s likely that I won’t be making a lot of these styles again. Next on the task list is to photograph them so I can get them online for purchasing!

12.01.2022 Today the sun was shining, the air was warm, Miss 5 wore her Christmas dress from last year and delightfully sang we wish you a merry Christmas throughout the day! So it’s only fair I give you a sneak peak of some of the Christmas fabrics on offer, right? What items do you think they should become? 16 weeks to go!

10.01.2022 These items are complete and ready to be sent out. I'm refining the direction Lex and Lou is taking so I'm putting all current stock up here. They have been stored in plastic tubs with lids for quite a while - hence the crease marks! To purchase, comment sold on the corresponding photo (and list which item you want if there are multiples in the photo. eg sold circus pants). I'll then send you a PM to arrange an invoice that you can pay online or via bank transfer. Once it's paid, I'll send the items on their way!

10.01.2022 I’m watching the Masterchef finale while turning and finishing a bunch of masks, ready to post tomorrow. Thanks for the orders everyone! Feel free to send me a message if you would like to order

09.01.2022 Miss 5 loves the flowers appearing on our trees. It appears the bees do too! Are there any lovely flowers around you today?

08.01.2022 Sewing with my little guy around sure is challenging. Take these bodysuits. They’re not a complicated sew for me, yet it took me about 3 weeks from start to finish! But I think it’s worth it as I now have a stylish little dude in great fitting clothes!

08.01.2022 As National Science Week draws to a close, it’s only fitting that I show you the awesome planet/space dress I made for a little planet loving friend. As expected, she loves it! Did you spy the ever so essential pockets? I’m always happy to take requests for custom items and will happily search for the right fabric. It took a few tries to find this, but when it was found it was easy to see how perfect it was!

08.01.2022 Was a lovely day to wash some bright rainbow glitter fabric! Can’t wait to get creating. What do you want to see?

06.01.2022 A big day of sewing today = so many completed mask orders! At this stage it’s looking like I’ll be up to date by the end of the weekend. Wow!

05.01.2022 Pockets....because everyone needs pockets! Are you team pockets or no pockets for kids?

04.01.2022 Sewing some patches on hubby’s clown pants for his Halloween costume wasn’t the kind of ‘fun’ sewing I had in mind for today.....

03.01.2022 While I’m sewing away with mask orders, I thought I’d share some tops I made for Mst V this year. I love the fit of the three on the right, and they work great as a jumper with a long sleeve bodysuit underneath. I’ve also made some in lovely warm fabrics too!

01.01.2022 With mask orders up to date , I was able to spend some time sewing some lovely and warm fleecy pants for Mst V. Just in time for the cold front to hit Canberra today Now if I could just get him to keep his socks on.....
