17.01.2022 Our biggest seller, by far, are the Powerpack units, but the Compresspack is no slouch, these batteries may not look as pretty but the performance is still there at a more wallet friendly price. The attached pictures are of a 12volt, 540Ah "twin" Compresspack. To make it easier for the boat owner buyer to install it, we have split it into two 35Kg packs.

We enjoyed 3 weeks cruising Port Philip, running 2 x 240V fridges, an ice-maker and all the other things we enjoy. Charging sources for our 300Ah pack was 400W of solar and a 200W wind generator. Battery charge never got below 40%, so we are very happy with that. So now for some great New Years Special news for those thinking of taking the dive into Lithium Lab products. 10.01.2022 When we first started making our Powerpack units nearly 4 years ago, our biggest seller was the 225 unit. Gradually the capacity has got greater, so that now the 300 is normal but the 375 and even the 450 are also very popular. Pictures show 3 450s and 1 complete 375 units on our assembly bench. I guess people are realising the possibilities with power made portable by Lithium Batteries.

Second life battery For over 6 years we have been told that Lithium Batteries are too expensive, well now is your chance to try Lithium batteries at a bargain basement price.... We have been fortunate to be able to secure a limited number of CALB cells that we manufacture our Powerpacks from that are pre used, these cells have lost approximately 10% of their capacity. They still have remaining around 1000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge before they seriously start to show signs of compromise. 1000 cycles is approximately 3 times what you would get from a set of AGM batteries. We have made these cells into Powerpack type units, they are the same except for the green cover on the sides. Full time users would expect to get 3-6 years from these batteries, for part time user you would be able more than double that. When the battery reaches a stage at which it no longer stores enough power for your needs to can have the pack re-built with new cells or buy yourself a brand new battery. 08.01.2022 A friend that took the dive into Lithium Lab batteries four years ago is today traversing the Suez canal. Congratulations to he and Lesley on the amazing achievement. I spoke to them yesterday and asked how the battery was performing, Phil said he doesnt pay much attention to them anymore, they just work. He has upgrade the solar to 320W which gives him a little more power but 200Ah @12v is not a lot of storage. Even when his start battery exploded (Lead acid) he started the engine from the lithium and didnt even charge it from the alternator as he was not sure if it was the alternator that took that battery out. 08.01.2022 The biggest project so far. 48V 540Ah, That is nearly 28kWh, for powering a 60ft Trimaran drive in Hawaii. All the bits are here I am just wiring the primary pack, on the floor is the other 42 cells laid out roughly in the packs. Quite a project.

07.01.2022 I had a phone call yesterday from a customer that bought a second life 375 Powerpack from us back in September this year. He fitted the battery to his van and took the opportunity to upgrade his solar to 600W and new solar controllers. He is so pleased with his setup. First test they woke up to a an 85Ah overnight deficit, cloudy morning and the battery was fully charged after just 1.5 hours!! Generator staying at home on the next trip. Its what I always say to people, sure they are smaller, sure they are lighter, but the biggest advantage of changing to a Lithium Lab battery is simply the way they work. We no longer have stock of second life cells to make these batteries but do hope to get some soon. Of course we still have stock of AAA grade CALB cells.
