MORE: https://ab.co/3ucdGKR Here's what you need to know...: Queenslanders can now leave their homes for any purpose, and travel anywhere in the state. Everyone in Queensland will still need to carry a mask at all times, but people only need to wear one in certain settings indoors, or where they can't maintain 1.5 metres social distance. Masks need to be worn in shopping centres, indoor workplaces, churches, libraries and on public transport. Employees don't need to wear a mask at work if they can socially distance from others. Travellers need to wear one at the airport and on the plane. Queenslanders don't need to wear masks in their own homes or the car (unless sharing a ride). Masks can be taken off doing strenuous exercise, or when sitting down to eat or drink. While there's no mandate to wear a mask outdoors, it is "strongly recommended" that people do so if they can't keep 1.5 metres away from other people. Restaurants, cafes, bars and nightclubs will be open, but only for seated eating and drinking. No standing or dancing is allowed. Gatherings at home are restricted to 30 people, including those who live there Up to 500 people can gather outside in public spaces such as parks and beaches. Funerals and weddings can go ahead, as long as the hosts comply with the limits on guest numbers. Masks must be worn by all guests, except for the happy couple. Weddings and funerals can have 200 guests, regardless of the size of the venue. Visits to aged care facilities, disability accommodation services, hospitals and correctional facilities are still restricted across the state.
