25.01.2022 ***YES WE ARE OPEN*** Advising our patients that Our Clinic remains open. (Even though the gym is closed). We will be following directions from DOOLEYS management and Australian Podiatry Association and will advise accordingly when or if changes are made. We look forward to continuing to bring our best service to you and will take the utmost precautions within our clinic to keep you all safe.

24.01.2022 During this time Podiatry continues to provide service and care. Please help us reduce the load of lower limb complaints at our Hospitals and General Practices. If you have any concerns regarding your foot or lower limb, Podiatry is here to help you. It is important that we free up our front-line health as much as practically possible. Podiatry treats common foot conditions such as ingrown toenails, warts, corns & callus, fungal infections, wound care, diabetic foot care and... general foot & lower limb pain. By seeing your Podiatrist first we can prevent and avoid any unnecessary visits to the Doctor/Hospital. We endeavour to ensure your safety to the highest standard. Here are some of the ways we provide infection control whilst maintaining our service: - Our waiting room has a maximum of 4 people in large space. - Wide spaces are kept in communal areas so you can practice social distancing. - Treatment rooms are as always cleaned before and after every patient with medical grade alcohol disinfectant. - Our podiatrist (As always) maintain the use of face masks, gloves, and gowns whilst treating you. - Our receptionist is taking extra care to take the temperature of patients before entering the clinic to ensure no high temperatures are missed. It is important for us to reduce the risk of spread to our patients, practitioners, employees and community. Please see us if you require lower limb health care. Stay safe, and happy.

16.01.2022 Our clinic is closed from Thursday 13 August as a precautionary measure due to a second positive COVID-19 case at DOOLEYS Lidcombe Catholic Club. This person did not visit the Health + Fitness center, not our clinic, however DOOLEYS Management have made the decision to temporarily close DOOLEYS Health + Fitness (and Lidcombe Podiatry) effective immediately in line with the prompt action taken by DOOLEYS Lidcombe Catholic Club. We will be following NSW Health directives before... reopening and will appropriately adjust appointments (currently working on our location) for any period of closure. We will keep you updated as soon as we have more information. We thank you for your patience and support during this time as we work to keep our community safe.

12.01.2022 Corns are a deep plug of dead, hardened skin. It is often in areas of high pressure and can become very painful if it begins to press on the deeper skin layers (where nerves and blood vessels are). Very deep corns are often associated with underlying bursitis (inflammation of the fluid-filled sacs under the ball of the foot) and can be alleviated by being removed and padded.

08.01.2022 Plantar warts are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus. This virus infects the skin cells causing the skin to grow rough, thick and bumpy. Often our immune system will gradually clear the infection without intervention. However, in some cases warts can be very stubborn ! As they grow in size they may cause discomfort and pressure to the feet. A great way to prevent warts is by wearing thongs in showers or communal wet areas, and checking your feet for any lesions. ... #podiatry #plantarwarttreatment #warttreatment #verrucatreatment #lidcombepodiatry

02.01.2022 ISO frees up more time for gardening, but it also increases the risk of foot injuries! This patient presented to our clinic with pain to the ball on their foot. The patient recalls stepping on a pine needle a week ago and trying to tweezer it out at home! But alas this did not do the trick. With our sterilised podiatric instruments, we were able to swiftly remove the deeply embedded foreign body, clean and disinfected the area. A wound dressing was applied and continued. T...he patient returned for their review today and all is well! Ready for more gardening Stay active and more importantly stay safe! Please call us if you have any foot issues you need to resolve (02) 8745 6297

01.01.2022 Its been a few days since weve been closed and weve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure we can reopen our clinic safely. We have been fortunate enough to provide services out of Berala Medical Clinic and through home visits-we will contact you if you have an upcoming appointment. Thankfully, there have been NO cases attached to the Gym or clinic and have been NO new positive cases attached to DOOLEYS Lidcombe Catholic Club since a second case was reported last... week. Our goal is to OPEN again early next week - However, it is conditional to NSW Health directives and we will keep you updated as soon as we can give you an exact confirmation on this. We THANK YOU for your patience and support during this time. Keeping our community safe is our priority and while closing is not ideal for any of us - Knowing we can reopen safely and with confidence is key for everyone. We look forward to sharing a confirmed reopen date with you soon. Please feel free to call us on 87456297 or book online for future appointments.
