23.01.2022 How many dental practices can brag about celebrating a 25 year Work Anniversary of 25 years? Wendy has been with us since September 1995. Starting off one day a week as a hygienist fresh out of Hygiene school to now providing a depth and high level of Oral Hygiene and Dental care to our patients in Hygiene, Staff Recruitment & Training, Leadership and so much more. Words can't express the appreciation and gratitude we have for Wendy and all the hard work and love she has prov...ided our patients and our team over the last 25 years. 21.01.2022 What is Halitosis and why should I care? Commonly known as bad breath, this ailment is not obvious but has impact on our friendships and relationships. Many people suffer from personal discomfort and social embarrassment from bad breath. What can be awkward is when someone is suffering from bad breath and they are unaware of it. 19.01.2022 David had a smile transformation that changed his life! After many years of ensuring family was his primary focus, David realised he had some dental issues going on. He felt that his teeth and smile were no longer doing the job they were designed to do and wanted to know what was happening. Also, looking back at old photos, he could see so much change in his smile it wasn't for the better. After initial discussions and planning, David proceeded to experience what we at Lidums Dental call a Smile Transformation. Using the photos from his younger years, we recreated a new smile that gave David back his dental health and confidence. We love transforming our patients' lives and restoring their self-esteem to go out into the world again and live life to the full. Thank you David for allowing us to share your Transformation!

18.01.2022 With Covid-19 restrictions being re-enforced, make sure you look after your health. Our bodies can withstand illness far better if we eat, sleep and think well. We reach out to all our community and hope you stay well and keep safe. Although our actions may seem a like just a drop in the ocean, it all adds up and can be the difference between life and death. Please adhere to the new restrictions and we can all live a long and fruitful life.

17.01.2022 We are back into the swing of things at Lidums Dental. It can be very challenging for people who have dental problems and are too anxious to visit the dentist, for all manner of reasons. Making the first phone call can be enough to build the courage up to take the next step and then the next step. Many of our patients are so grateful when they call and speak with Paula or Melissa, they feel heard and understood. We are really grateful for the heart and soul that they give our patients to help them overcome the first obstacle - making that first appointment or phone call. A shout out to Melissa and Paula!

04.01.2022 You've probably guessed by now Arnis loves the outdoors, especially the outback! Arnis took some time off with his family to experience another South Australian Gem - The Gawler Ranges. Due to the wet weather, there were some huge puddles and a great opportunity to make a splash! If ever you get a chance, take the 8 hour drive and check out the amazing Granite outcrops and stunning scenery. Couldn't resist sharing some of these great pics, incredible really!

04.01.2022 As a Dental Practice, we understand the need for 'clean'. We are very aware of the risk of spreading infection given the parameters we work with. Having masks, shields, glasses, caps, gowns are all part and parcel for us and has been for many years. 02.01.2022 Healthy mouth = Healthy body: There are so many things we can do to help ourselves and ensure optimal health. Brushing twice daily with an extra soft toothbrush, flossing daily (have your hygienist recommend a floss that slips between the teeth easily to make flossing quick and painless) as well as regular hygiene cleans to remove tartar. A build of tartar can cause our gums to get red and inflamed and make cleaning harder. Removing the tartar form our teeth makes for nice smooth tooth surfaces to brush and floss therefore reducing the bacteria that enters your body. It is a known fact that bacteria from our mouths can cause our bodies to not fight off sickness and can actually have a detrimental impact on our heart.
