25.01.2022 I LOVE being able to use all my skills to help improve someones business. While I spend most of my time performing marketing magic for small businesses in Australia, did you know I'm also a pro photographer? One remote client I worked with recently, needed my direction to take better photos for their online store; appropriate angles and most importantly, instructions for how to take photos in proper lighting. I still had to edit them in Photoshop, and so often I wished I was ...there to do it all for them. Anyway we made it work and customers sure noticed the difference when almost every image (over 400 in total) were updated to look more professional. 23.01.2022 I had just designed a book cover for this 7 year old girls mother and she wished for one herself so I created one just for fun from a photo I'd taken at her birthday party a couple months back. That inspired action interestingly started momentum on something so huge, only God could have foreseen it coming. Well, if you have a beautiful cover, you might as well write a book to go with it right? Within only 6 weeks, she became a best seller in 4 countries on Amazon. 15.01.2022 WHAT SHOULD A WOMAN WEAR FOR A PHOTO SHOOT? Here's what I usually recommend to make it look more professional and beautiful. Bring 3 changes of clothes: 1. CASUAL: Jeans and a white shirt usually works really well. ... 2. CORPORATE OR FORMAL: A nice jacket. A simple cocktail dress often fits in here too. Plain colours only. Minimal jewelery. 3. 12.01.2022 HOW IT ALL STARTED I love photography so much, when I didn’t have a client I’d take photos of the garden, my daughter, the cat and eventually myself. You can sometimes see the evidence of a remote shutter switch tucked neatly into one of my hands. Because I like to be a bit different, I began to get creative with how I compiled them all together, and would have to say that the signature pieces of my work are my composite portfolio pictures. One of my online albums has actua...lly been used as an example for a professional modeling portfolio a nice compliment. WHAT’S HAPPENING TODAY I’m just going through a few of my favourite shots to add to my AUTHOR website. I never really have a plan, but sometimes I’ll notice something about an image that just takes my fancy in the moment, so I throw them into PhotoShop to see what my inspired creativity produces. It’s usually done fairly quickly. I find that if it starts to feel like a struggle, the results won’t be very good either. I never work hard at anything. If I decide to do it for fun, I feel like I’ve been paid before I’ve even begun. ~ Elizabeth Richardson
