Behind the statistics are stories of loved ones; sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mums, dads, uncles, aunties, friends and colleagues. If you need support, please know we're here for you 24/7 on 13 11 14 or text with us nightly, from 6pm til midnight (AEDT) on 0477 13 11 14.

25.01.2022 Our doors may be closed, but we would like to extend a BIG thank you to Marshall Chan Yahl for making our pop-up book shop possible. It has been a fabulous opportunity for Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury, and so warmly received by our community. We truly appreciate having had this presence during these difficult months, and being able to keep the book fair spirit well and truly alive.... A special thank you to principal Craig Marshall for all your support.

22.01.2022 There is no doubt that 2020 was the year that taught us the importance of staying connected. This year, commit to connecting with: each other nature and the outdoors... those things you enjoy doing. And if you're feeling overwhelmed, connect with us. We’re here to listen 24/7 on 13 11 14 or, if you don’t feel like talking, text us from 6 pm til midnight (AEDT) on 0477 13 11 14.

22.01.2022 A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone for supporting our book shops! This has been a year of great change and upheaval and our book depots and volunteers have done an AMAZING job of making sure we can still do our important work of raising money for Lifeline H2H by selling great books in great condition. What started as a pop-up book shop in Roseville thanks to the generosity of Marshall Chan Yahl has turned into TWO book shops one in Hornsby, and one in Lindfield and we're... not going anywhere! The Lindfield book shop will remain open until at least the end of February 2021 and the Hornsby book shop will remain until at least the end of March 2021. Given the success of the shops so far, we are hopeful the shops will continue beyond these dates, either in the same location or somewhere else, but the more you support us, the longer we will be able to stay open! So please, pop in, share the word, and keep reading! We truly appreciate your support and the impact it makes in our local community through crisis support and suicide prevention services. For more information about our shops, please visit: https://lifelineh2h.org.au/about-our-shops/.

21.01.2022 Since the start of the pandemic, some of us are drinking more alcohol or a bit more often than before. Stress, spare time, being out of work or feeling isolated can trigger more drinking. However, in the long-term, alcohol only makes things worse. Instead, try moderating consumption and reaching out to a friend or free support line to talk about how youre feeling. ... If youre concerned about your drinking or a loved one, contact the confidential DrugInfo line for information and advice: 1300 85 85 84. Lifeline is here 24/7 on 13 11 14 or via Lifeline Text, on 0477 13 11 14 from 6 pm until midnight, AEST.

NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australians to embrace the true history of this country and to celebrat...e and take pride in having the oldest continuing cultures on the planet. 15.01.2022 Would you like to volunteer and be involved in our Community Visitors Scheme (CVS)? Our volunteers provide caring support and companionship to elderly people in our community. Every endeavour is made to connect the client with a volunteer who shares similar interests and outlook. The hour or so spent together can be whatever the recipient and volunteer find the most value in whether it’s assisting with personal correspondence, enjoying a game of Scrabble, tackling a crossw...ord puzzle or just sharing a friendly chat, it’s the connection that counts. 'She enables me to have something to do in my day. She has a connection to the outside world and I enjoy her visit.' 'I feel I have a true friendship with her. She has helped me reach 100 years of age and she reminds me that I am alive.' The visits also offer a meaningful and deeply rewarding experience for our volunteers. 'The most terrible poverty is loneliness and the feeling of being uninvolved. Volunteering is satisfying because it gives me peace of mind knowing I have made someone's day better through hope.' Volunteers are recruited within strict guidelines, undergo mandatory checks and receive ongoing training and support from the Lifeline H2H team. To be eligible, you need to live within the Northern Sydney region and have up-to-date flu vaccinations. As such our policy has always been to work within NSW Health Guidelines. Fortunately for GFB these new guidelines are only in place till 30th of September. As such the GFB Committee have determined Saturday the 17th of October as the new date for our event. All registered riders were sent an email Wednedsay this week. Please email [email protected] if youre unable to attend the new date.
